Highlights

Peles Castle - Nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains in the picturesque town of Sinaia, Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German new-Renaissance architecture, considered by many one of the most stunning castles in Europe.

Commissioned by King Carol I in 1873 and completed in 1883, the castle served as the summer residence of the royal family until 1947. Its 160 rooms are adorned with the finest examples of European art, Murano crystal chandeliers, German stained-glass windows and Cordoba leather-covered walls.

King Carol spared no expense.
Peles Castle was the first European castle to have electricity, it even has its own power plant.
The Castle has hot and cold running water, central heat and central vacuum system.

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Commonly known outside Romania as Dracula’s Castle it is often referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. There is no evidence that Stoker knew anything about this castle, which has only tangential associations with Vlad the Impaler, voivode of Wallachia, the putative inspiration for Dracula. Stoker’s description of Dracula’s crumbling fictional castle also bears no resemblance to Bran Castle.

Brasov Historical Center - Brasov is one of the most visited cities in Romania, offerings its tourists a rich mix of history, architecture, culture, urban fun, and impressive natural surroundings. A top tourist attraction in Romania, the city was for centuries a key commercial center and a strong industrial hub during the long decades of communism when its name changed for 10 years to Stalin City.

Definitely recommend - Sebastian was my guide. I was a solo traveler but he made me feel comfortable and taken care of. He was easy going and matched my energy. He is very well connected, knowledgeable, and you feel like you get the best for your money. As a solo traveler it was not cheap but the trip took me to all the top places in Transylvania. There are some shorter trips but they don’t go to Sighișoara which is definitely worth it!

Lucky to have Catalin as... - Lucky to have Catalin as our guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history, culture, architecture, and cuisine of all the places we visit. He is punctual, responsible, fun, and takes great care of his guests. He has even an excellent selection of music for the road. We really appreciate that he went beyond his duty and show us more than what we signed up for and presented the absolute best of what Romania has to offer.

The guide made all the difference! - This was a very good tour. Mircea was a really fantastic guide. He was responsive when we wanted to make changes, patient with us when we wanted to take a coffee break, and a very good driver. The most important thing was that he was such a good conversationalist. He kept us interested the entire journey. The one drawback of this trip is that it is a lot of driving! I wish I had done this over three days instead of only two, but that was all the time we had. I would definitely recommend the trip is you are short on time. If you have more time, then having Mircea as your guide would be fantastic, leaving you with a good sense of Romanian history, food, and politics.

The most incredible and memorable trip we’ve taken. - Every city was amazing and beautiful and Alin just made our experience easy and memorable. He went out of his way to take us to a synagogue in Sighisoara and visit the Jewish cemetery there. He also accommodated all of our needs like taking us to a supermarket to buy certain items that we needed in order to continue our trip in Romania.

A fabulous trip to Transilvania - I was very sap with my 2-day trip to Transilvania. Sebastian was my private driver and guide for the enrire trip. Everything went to perfection and as planned. Every stop we made was like going back in history. I learned a lot about the Romanian history from Sebastian who was very pleasant and a very responsible driver. The most memorable sight was Peleș Castle, but I must admit that I enjoyed every minute during the trip. We spent more than 2 hours in Brașov, which was truly a magical medieval town. After spending 1 night in Sighișoara, we had a walking tour in this medieval town that has remained unchanged during several centuries. Then we stopped at Sibiu, where we enjoyed a walking tour during more than 2 hours, which was unbelievable beautiful. I highly recommend this 2-day private trip to Transilvania to every visitor to Romania. Evey minute will remain in my memory forever.
