Quick tour of National Museum of Egyptian Civilization with the Royal Mummies. - We went as a family with 4 kids with tour guide Sayed Mahmoud for a tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). Sayed is very professional and patient with kids. He picked us up from the place where we stayed in a van with our drinks already in place inside. He assisted us well in our tour of the museum and provided informative discussion. What we enjoyed the most was the Royal Mummy exhibition in NMEC, which was truly educational and eye-opening. Our kids developed keen interest on the mummies on display like Ramses, Seti and Thutmoses among others - historical figures whom one can only read from history books but their remains were perfectly intact. Our tour guide took some nice photos too. The tour ended with a sumptuous lunch (buffet) at a nearby restaurant arranged by Emo. Sayed was also assisted us to buy some small souvenirs and helped us get a good price too. It was a good half day well spent. The only minor problem we had was the delay of about 15 or so minutes for the pick up by the van from the museum to the restaurant. Other than that, it was a good tour to take as a recommendation for those with 2-3 hours free to see the mummies.

Great full day tours! - My partner and I were visiting from America and experienced two excellent full day tours with Emo. Our egyptologist, Essam, was very kind and knowledgeable. He made sure to make any adjustments to the schedule that we requested without issue. He brought us to excellent restaurants and gave us delicious Egyptian snacks. The cherry on top was that he

Time well spent - We booked this tour as a way to fit as much of Cairo as we could into one day. But ultimately what would make the tour Of the Egyptian Museum Citadel and Khan Khalili Bazaar would be the guide giving it. Mamdouh Kamal was our guide and he was fantastic. He tried so hard to understand what we wanted to get out of the day and at each location was attentive to our needs. We saw parts of Egypt from an Egyptians perspective and had the adventure brought to life. A fantastic day and time well spent

Super Short, Little Info, Not Worth It! - First off, this tour was supposed to be 8 hours, with 2 hours at the first museum, two hours at the Citadel and 1 at the Bizarre (plus lunch). We were done in about 3.5 hours (after choosing to skip the bizarre but still having lunch since we prepaid for it). Probably half that time was spent in transit. We spent maybe an hour in the museum and that was us dragging our heels, followed by what might have been 30 minutes at the citadel. We were offered to extend our tour with another site but for an additional $90. We were also offered shopping trips which we also turned down, but I suspect that's how they actually fill the time. Some of that I might have been okay with if it wasn't for the fact that most of the guided part felt more like someone reading off of Wikipedia to us. Bare descriptions with little detail or context. There's also not much to see at either site. They're very small and not complex. We had hoped a hired tour guided would fill in some of the missing details, but this really didn't deliver. Long story short, the museum was cool but everything else was a disappointment and we had a full half day of nothing to do that we could have planned something better for.
