Additional Information

The Montserrat Natural Park situates at a distance of 50 kilometers from Barcelona. We approach the park with the appealing and singular views offered by our fully-equipped private conveyance.

Our first stop in Montserrat’s Natural Park is the Benedictine Monastery, established in the 11th century. It constitutes the dwelling for Catalonia’s Patron Saint, The Black Madonna of Montserrat which stands as a potent symbol of unification and spirituality for the local inhabitants.

After touring the Monastery grounds, we ascend to the crest to relish the awe-inspiring vistas of the Natural Park and most of its surroundings.

During our hike, we tread the very trails utilized by the pilgrims centuries ago. We get enchanted by the intriguing flora and fauna of Montserrat and we also take singular routes where the rocky columns and gorges exhibit the mystery of the emerging water from the concealed and unexplored heart of the massif.

At the base in the Monastery again, we acquire some leisure time before our return journey to Barcelona.

Wonderful Tour - A beautiful morning trip to Montserrat. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The meeting point was conveniently located just a short walk Northeast of Plaça de Catalunya. I would happily do another tour with them.

Beautiful place to visit - We had a great experience and tour. Our guide Frank was very, very good. The place is very pretty, only thing going downhill walking is kind of strenuous so we should put something on the description and people will know as so many can't walk or have some disabilities. Other than that is a worth experience

Amazing experience - It was really amazing experience. We had a lot of fun and discovered also the mountain not just the monastery. That was because of our guide who was just brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this trip to others, if you will be in Barcelona and you like some hikes, go for it. It's not difficult.

A trip highlight - My Barcelona highlight- a day away from the crowds up in the mountain air. Its only an hours drive out of the city & it felt like a million miles away. Montserrat is a very spiritual placed if you get away from the heaving crowds at the monastery which id well worth a visit. Loved the Black Madonna & her story . My group hiked up to the peak then took the stairs down from the funicular station- you do need to be reasonably fit as although the uphill path is wide & winding the downhill is steep & uneven. Loved loved loved the hike.

Stunning overlooks! - Definitely real hiking and not a simple hike. Truly was the way to see Montserrat. The hike afforded stunning views that most of the tourists never got to see.

2nd Time in Europe - This was an incredible experience. It is a challenging hike and not for the faint of heart. Wear hiking boots/shoes. The views are amazing. We had a fantastic guide who was funny and had great stories.
