Absolutely incredible! - This night snorkel with the manta rays was absolutely amazing! I went with my 16 year old daughter, and we both loved it. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the boat was comfortable, and the boat ride is literally like 5-10 minutes to the manta ray spot. To be honest, I was a little freaked out by the idea of it, but it was not scary at all and was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. We had like 8-10 mantas at a couple points, and they come right up next to you, even brushing against you at times. Truly mind blowing. They are HUGE. But they are serene and gentle, just beautiful. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer/snorkeler to do this trip. They even had prescription dive masks for glasses wearers. It was a little cold, despite the wetsuit they give you. Also, arrive earlier than they say, parking is a bit of a cluster there and it can be crowded. That said, I can’t recommend Fair Winds tours enough, I would 100% go with them again. If you’re on the fence about doing the night snorkel with tue manta rays….do it.

Amazing manta ray experience - The most amazing night snorkel to see manta rays up close. Although we were instructed not to touch the rays, they came up close and had no hesitation brushing against us. Really unforgettable experience.

Manta Ray Ballet! - We wanted to do this tour for years. 2024 is the year we did it! Fair Winds crew had the details locked in. The whole cruise went smoothly, except for rough water. I was happy to have a short wet suit on, it kept me warmer. When we entered the water, we swam a short distance to a row of fluorescent lights held together with a metal rail. We held onto the metal rail the entire time we watched the rays. Pool floaties were put under our ankles to keep our legs on top of the water so as not to interfere with the rays' feeding pattern. The stars were the manta rays. At first, we didn't see any rays, but then they swam in like ray ballet dancers: graceful, flying through the water, interacting with each other, and swimming upside down directly under our faces! I was entranced watching them. In addition, other ocean life forms could be seen under the fluorescent lights. I saw jellyfish the size of my little fingernail, a tiny, long-snouted, see-through fish, and plankton! When we returned to the boat, hot soup and hot chocolate awaited us. According to the crew, we saw six individual manta rays. The hardest thing about the tour was getting out of the wetsuit! This tour far surpassed our expectations. We recommend that you experience this unique experience!

Don’t miss this manta ray experience! - The Manta Ray night dive was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. These creatures are gorgeous and gigantic and magnificent. We got to see 5 of them and they swam within an inch of us. The crew does a good job of prepping everyone and telling us about the animals. And then once in the water you’re on your own. Some of the other tour companies in the water seemed to do more narrating of the experience, telling their guests about which manta they were seeing and things like that. So if you’re looking for that this might not be your best option. But if you want to just float and take it all in this is for you. And they served delicious hot soup when we got out of the water and on the boat. Really nice touch to warm up.

Amazing experience - Amazing trip. Ray’s aside, as this is out of the team’s control (and we did see plenty very up close and personal), this was an outstanding trip. Very organized, simple sign up and check in procedure, attentive crew, clean vessel, and great food. Not only would I recommend, we are going back to do a day snorkel trip. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

Nice, but turbulent. - Multiple Manta Rays! Quite Nice. Water was very Turbulent! Much Energy was spent just hanging on. Many people were sea sick. Word to the Wise...be careful of Ocean conditions, if you can.
