Mind Blowing Experience in Romania - Since we wanted to see more than the typical Transylvania tour, my boyfriend and I booked the 6 days tour to see Romania Our guide was Marius, who was informative, friendly and fun. By the end of the tour he felt more like a traveling friend than a guide. Tour was nicely paced and Marius gave us plenty of free time to explore on our own. The hotels were all excellent. This tour included 2 nights at a home stay in Maramures, which was my absolute favorite. The home cooked meals by Elena, who used fresh ingredients from their garden, hens and local farmers, were absolutely delicious. You could tell right away that the meals were made with love by her. During this tour, you see all the beautiful wooden churches, monasteries, cemeteries, mountains and farm life in Romania. We got to spend more time at each location than you would with a one day tour, which is why I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the real Romania.

See the real Romania - Wow! What a great 6 days to see Romania. We wanted to see a bit more than the typical Transylvania tour. Our guide was Marius, super friendly, fun and informative. By the end of the tour he felt more like a traveling friend than a guide. Tour was nicely paced, without early departing times. Plenty of free time to explore on your own. Hotels were all great, with my favorite being the home stay in Maramures. The home cooked meals by Elena were sooo good but her fresh baked bread was out of this world. I overstuffed myself both days. You see all the beautiful wooden churches, monasteries, cemeteries, mountains and farm life in Romania. We even saw a bear on the side of the road which is rare at our elevation. We got to spend more time at the location than you would with a one day tour. I would recommend this tour to anybody if you want to see the real Romania

Andrei from One Excellence Tours was the best! - Our tour guide Andrei was so knowledgeable, professional, and kind and tailored our trip to our interests and enjoyment. He showed us details of Romanian village life in addition to the tour, which was far better than any village museum tour. He was very obliging throughout the trip. As per our request, he took driving routes through the villages ( instead of using only highways) and gave us deeper insights into Romanian culture and living. He is extremely polite, courteous, pleasant, and caring. We highly recommend him for an authentic experience. His span of knowledge on any subject was impressive!

6-Days Transylvania & Wooden Churches of Maramures from Bucharest - This is a BIG trip, which is perfect since this is a BIG country. Paul did a great job of putting together all the best parts of Romania in a six day whirlwind. If you are wanting to see more than Transylvania then this is the trip for you (though you get to see that too). Paul knew tons of history and could answer questions with ease. He has a love for his homeland and it shows. There is some driving, but like we said, it's a BIG country. We loved our time here and will be back to catch a few things we didn't have time for. When we do, we will call upon Paul to help us see the rest.

Amazing journey into the heart of Romania - We just returned yesterday to Bucharest from a grand tour into Romania. It all started out with a full day visit to important sites in Bucharest then we headed out to the country. First of all, the country is stupendous. Our biggest impression was nature, the mountains, streams, deep mysterious forest. And the beautiful cities of Sibiu, Braşov, Sighişoara and more were unforgettable. Paul had arranged everything impeccably. He is a fountain of knowledge complete with dates of buildings. Amazing. We went in his super, big sedan for days on the road. Laughed, talked, told life stories and in general had a super time. If you go don’t miss the stop over in the absolutely enchanting village of Breb in Maremures. A high point. Paul has our highest recommendations. Truly, he went above and beyond in helping us to connect with relatives outside of Suceava, serving as translator during our evening there and then delivering a gift from us to the family in Moldavia. Thanks, Paul. An amazing time.
