Next, we will venture into the national park to catch a glimpse of brown bears. We will pause for a photo-opportunity from the safety of our vehicle.
The tour will then proceed uphill, making a halt at a grand waterfall to soak in the breathtaking scenery before heading towards Bâlea glacial lake situated at an altitude of 2034 meters.
Here, you will enjoy 90 minutes of leisure time for hiking, zip lining, strolling or grabbing a bite to eat.
From this vantage point, the rugged panorama of Transylvania is spectacularly stunning.

Amazing Sites - What an amazing tour! The sites were beyond my expectations. Our tour guide, Sebastian was so enthusiastic and made sure we witness nature at its best by seeing many brown bears, foxes , glacier lakes, and the border of Transylvania. You don’t want to miss out on this incredible experience of Bucharest!! Stacy

Great tour in small group with top guide - Great tour with Sebastian, English spoken slowly and very clearly, great small group with only 5 people in total, trip was confirmed the day before including the name of the tour guide, license plate number and useful information about the trip, start very punctually. Saw 22 (!) brown bears, often with babies. It was fascinating. There were also 2 foxes. History and castle of the real 'Dracula', which was very interesting. The contrast of the top gear road with snow at 2000 m altitude was also a great contrast. Really a highly recommended tour with a great guide!

Many bears and beautiful snowy mountains - Very nice tour to see the bears and the high mountains. Immediately after entering the forest the first bears appeared- they were curious and approached the car and one even ran after the car. Next stop was the dam, where we walked a bit. Final stop was the high road where there still was a lot of snow, but we could still drive to high altitude. The guide was very nice and talked a lot about history and there were many options for great photos. On the way back we even saw a bear cub.

Amazing tour - A great tour, our guide Matei was fabulous very knowledgeable and let us explore and take pictures at our own pace. The road still isn't fully open due to the snow but this did not deviate from experience we got up really high to some amazing views, saw at least 8 bears along the way. Plus stopping for the Mici on the way was an added bonus. Fully recommend everyone to do this, its a long day but totally worth it

Wild bears everywhere - We booked this tour with low expectations regarding the number of bears we will see. The guide told us in the morning that we would see at least 5 wild bears, but we didn't really believe it. At the end of the day we counted 11 bears of different sizes, Mother bears with cubs and even a fox. It was a fantastic day that I have no words about. This tour is mandatory if you have a day off in Bucharest.

Excellent tour - Wonderful experience, made extra special by the tour guide and driver - Sebastian, who was wonderful, very well informed and who delivered an excellent commentary both, to paint the overall context and go into minutiae in great detail. He was most helpful and empathic. Would highly recommend this company.

Wow - I was very pleasantly surprised by this tour. I knew about Transfagarasan from Top Gear and I wanted to see with my own eyes the most beautiful road in the world. It's really magnificent. Not to mention that this tour has a stop at Poienari Castle, which I learned about from the Netflix movie "Mehmed vs. Vlad". The stop at Vidraru Lake was special because for the first time in my life I went on a dam. I could tell you a lot about the ten bears I saw on the side of the road, but I'd better let you discover the beauties of Romania.
