Art Deco style, while evocative of a bygone era, actually represents the vision of the future from a 1920s perspective. The gleaming materials and meticulous detailing scream opulence, luxury, and sophistication. On this excursion, you’ll follow the trail of those who were intoxicated by the promise of what could be, prior to the notorious ‘29 Crash. We’ll travel through various impressive interiors located within the Loop and near the Chicago River. Not only will we visit famous Art Deco structures in the Loop, we’ll also stop by a few buildings familiar from well-known boat tours. The main highlight is that we’ll be venturing where most boat tour participants never set foot: inside these breathtaking Art Deco structures. Get ready to be awestruck by the beauty hidden behind closed doors, an unknown splendor to many.

Fabulous Chicago lobbies and buildings - An excellent tour of the unexpected interiors of Chicago’s most beautiful buildings. Coleen was an excellent guide. Follow the rule of go through the door you don’t know what your going to find 😊

Art deco in Chicago is great! - Very interesting visit, really reasonable group size, with lots of information and explanations. Very positive point: the explanations aimed at understanding what art deco is, not encyclopedic data. This is thanks to our guide Haley, who was very friendly, clear, and super available. We learnt a lot !

An excellent introduction to Art Deco - My wife and I enjoyed our Art Deco tour with Haley. We learned a lot about Chicago architecture in general and, more particularly, about Art Deco architecture. We will now be able to identify it and appreciate it in our future travels.

Wonderful guide to interesting history & art deco - Great tour! Even with a little bit of rain going from building to building, it was a perfect way to spend a few hours getting to know a little Chicago history and to appreciate the beautiful interiors of some of some iconic buildings. Haley was super knowledgeable, kind, and fun! It was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon!

Informative & entertaining - I can highly recommend this tour! Hillary gave us a lot of exciting background information about Art Deco and we saw the inside of some fantastically beautiful buildings that you wouldn't otherwise just go into. The tour was very informative and entertaining. Well done!

Surprising interiors in a beautiful city - A dear friend of mine visited from Phoenix, and although I have been living in the Chicago area for about 3 decades now, I thought it would be a lovely idea to join a professionally led tour to see some of Chicago's stunning architecture.
Our tour guide Haley was very personable and knowledgeable, and her passion for showing her guests some of the beauty of Chicago while walking came through in all the descriptions of the places we stopped at. She explained the key features of Art Deco and reminded us to look for them throughout our walk. Doing this on a warm and very sunny late summer day with visitors from different corners of the world perfected our experience. Now I know which tour company to book for my friends and family visiting from out of town and overseas.

A good 2 hours sensibly priced and informative - We had a guide called Hilary who was very personable. It was a nice tour and sensibly priced. It served as a good introduction to Chicago as it helped you focus on other Art Deco details we saw while out and about on other days.

Starting place given as next to red horse. Found only gray horse & missed tour! - Lack of red horse, so could not find start of tour. Scammed out of a lot of money. Bummer. Would not book with this company again.
