Great experience for history enthusiasts - We had a really great experience with Allen & Vietnam Adventure at the Cu Chi tunnel. We were taken away from the tourist crowd so we could experience getting in & out of the tunnel & got into different functioning rooms. We even sampled the very narrow part of the tunnel but Allen ensured that we were very safe all along. Allen gave a very thorough explanation even before we arrived in the tunnel. We closed the tour with a very nice Vietnamese lunch. Everything was well planned from end to end so we were very comfortable during the whole tour. Highly recommended tour package!

Can’t ask for a better tour - It was one of my favorite tours after 2 weeks in Vietnam. We had a great tour guide (Kai) providing very good information and some interesting stories what you could not know if you’re not locals. Highly recommended!

An extremely interesting maze of tunnels. - The Cu Chi Tunnels are fascinating. Being able to go down the tunnels was quite an experience. This is certainly not for people who are claustrophobic or are of a slightly larger size. I also has a go at the shooting range. Unless you are very interested in shooting a military weapon, I would say that you might want to avoid this. At £2 a bullet with a minimum of 10 bullets, the whole experience is over very quickly.

Wrongly advertised tour - Beware of the itinerary, this is NOT a half-day, 6 hour round-trip tour. The itinerary does not list 2 stops. The first unlisted stop is on the way to Cu Chi Tunnels. They will take you to a disabled village as a break stop. Here, you will stay for 30mins, be introduced to how they make the eggshell/redwood art and then hope you will buy something. Next is the main tour. The Cu Chi Tunnel tour itself is ok. Decent explanation of everything. However, an improved video where the quality isn’t from the 50s/60s will be appreciated. For second unlisted stop, the tour company will take you to a restaurant their ex-colleague opened up. The guide says their company “provides support” to this restaurant so the expectation is that you will stay and eat there. Us and a few of our tour mates had other plans in the afternoon, so we negotiated to join other buses returning to Saigon more immediately. Skipping the lunch spot is the only way you will return to Saigon Central by 1530. Otherwise, you may return closer to 1630/1700. This is my personal opinion, but I felt our guide sounded arrogant and political. He kept referring himself as Saigonese and sounded like he was airing out his own political views vs sharing facts about why Cu Chi Tunnels. We specifically chose this tour because it is advertised as “non-touristy” and didn’t have a lunch spot, so this tour was disappointing and failed expectations.
