Our primary goal is to provide exceptional experiences involving wildlife encounters. Apart from our headquarters in downtown Puerto Madryn, we’ve established desks at both of the city’s piers. Over the past 17 seasons, we’ve been offering shore excursions to cruise passengers.

All our tours initiate and terminate at the pier.

Our charges include a vehicle (up to 18 seats) equipped with air conditioning, an English-speaking tour guide, and a box lunch that includes a ham and cheese sandwich, a granola bar, an Argentinean alfajor, and a bottle of water. You can also opt for vegetarian or gluten-free meals.

We refrain from using coach buses for our tours.

If the ship fails to dock, you won’t be charged anything. If you’ve prepaid for the entire tour or any deposit, we assure a 100% refund.

Great tour - It was a long drive from the port of Puerto Madryan but we saw a lot more than penguins on the ride! Amelia was a great guide, she was fun and knowledgeable.

Excellent and Educational Tour - Our cruise itinerary changed due to weather, and we arrived a day early in Puerto Madryn, with the ship staying overnight. We had signed up for a tour with Sentir Travel for what became day 2 of our stay. They reached out to us via WhatsApp while we were en route, and made this tour available to us for.our new day of arrival. That was convenient, since the ship had a limited number of excursions available for the new arrival day. If you have cruised before you know that a change in plans can create a scramble. Sentir was on the ball. Our tour was a group of 4, with a driver/guide in a vehicle about the size of an SUV. The drive itself is long, but most excursions out of Puerto Madryn are like that. Some of the drive is over gravel road. We arrived late in the season, so many of the penguins had already migrated out of the area. It was also a very windy day, with rough seas. There were still many penguins to see, but we compared notes with passengers who visited the following day, and I think they got a better viewing experience. Your trip will involve an element of luck. In addition to penguins, we saw guanaco, rhea, and even a fox within the reserve. Some bird life as well. Our driver and guide was Roberto, aka Beto. He speaks excellent English. He made some put stops along the way, and took us through the interpretive centre, and told us some history of the area which was excellent to learn. The walk at Punta Tombo is over a mix of gravel and boardwalk. I would describe the terrain as very manageable, and the walk itself is a few kilometres round trip. We walked at a leisurely pace and took 90 minutes with a lot of time spent taking photos or observing. We were provided a simple boxed lunch, and we were asked ahead of time about any dietary restrictions. Not fancy, but no complaints. Beto is an excellent guide. You would be fortunate to be with him for your tour. I would book with Sentir Travel again in Puerto Madryn without hesitation.

Beautiful penguin colony in Punta Tumbo - It was a nice excursion with a good guide and nice driver. We saw many penguins both at the sea and at nests, including young ones. The drive is over 2 hours (partly unpaved road) but definitely worth it!

Great tour! Lots of penguins! - Eduardo and Martin p were easily visible at the cruise port and did a good job getting us to the rookery in good time — with a washroom break along the way! We had lots of time with the penguins before heading back to town. The tour was informative. The van was clean and they provided a box lunch for our return.

More agile than the busses - The team was personable and quick. Compared to the big bus tours no comparison. With a small group we were able to see a few sights in between the port and the Penguin rookery, though there isn’t much. That also gave us more time at the penguins, which was the purpose of the excursion.

Wonderful experience, excellent guide - Thank you Sentir. The tour to see the penguins at Punta Tombo was well organized, professional, and very interesting. Our guide, Diego, spoke excellent English and was friendly and very knowledgeable. The vehicle was comfortable and the driver was good too. Even the boxed lunch was full of tasty goodies. Highly recommended!

Loved this shore excursion - Our guide was Berto, driver Pedro. Looked for the blue balloon, and our small group of 8 was on our way. 2.5hrs there, long road, with 20km of dirt & gravel. The landscape is sparse (except for the giant Dinosaur in the middle of nowheresville and the wind turbines). The Rookery is hectares of safe areas for the Magellanic Penguins to have their chicks. It was beautiful. What we saw was fantastic. Possibly about 5,000 in total. So many cute babies. Follow the boardwalks and paths and the little ones will delight you with their antics, their nonchalance for tourists. Look for the one path where they have created a highway between the sea and home (the parents jog down to the water for food to bring back for their family). Head down to the water (via the boardwalks) to see more of these little characters. Boxed lunch on the way home. We were dropped off (by request) at the pier - little market stalls. Fantastic day! Thank you.

not good at all - they said there was a boardwalk available it e as a mess and very dangerous. poor;y maintain, The guide was very young and knew nothing the driver have some knoeledge but only spoke spanish so you ask the tour guide a question she had to repeat it to the driver in spanish then she would translate to us the answer. It was a long up hill walk to see the first penguin and a longer walk to see more, the said they left for the beach. It was a long boring drive for the price just did not justfide the cost
