- Centro Histórico De Puerto Plata - I will pick you up at at your location start by stopping at a Dominican convenience store right in front of the beach to have a snack, then proceed to go to a local beach spot where you can swim and take pictures, after that we go to the cable car and explore the beautiful botanical garden on the top, after that we will walk through the historic center and finish our tour at San Felipe fortress and drive you back to our meeting point.

Additional Information
The Dominican Republic is beautiful and everyday you can find some new place to enjoy that only some locals get to experience but Puerto Plata in particular, has this amazing combination of natural attractions, culture and history that you can rarely find in one place. It also baffles me how you can be at the beach enjoying the warm weather and 15 minutes later, up in the highest point of Puerto Plata, overlooking the city and surrounded by an entirely different ecosystem and cool weather.
So tag along with me not only to explore but to experience Puerto Plata and but to appreciate it as only locals do.

A definite yes! Book Ámbar for your custom tour! - Ámbar was hands down the best tour guide we have ever had! She took us off the beaten path and we got to see so many amazing things, like the beautiful countryside and local beaches, as well as the more popular areas (Umbrella street & Paseo de Doña Blanca). She was welcoming, hospitable, and extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture. She was fantastic and we highly recommend her to anyone visiting Puerto Plata.

Puerto Plata with Ambar - We really appreciated the fact that Ambar reached out to us in advance to ask what we would particularly like to see during the tour, and then built the tour around that. She bought us some Dominican treats, which we would probably otherwise never have tasted. And she was very accommodating to 96-year old mother/mother-in-law who was part of our group of 4. Of course going up Mount Isobel de Torres in the tram on a perfectly clear day was a memorable experience
