Highlights
  • Cam Kim Island - We ride over the bridge to Cam Kim island and along the riverside into the beautiful rural countryside.
First stops is a traditional boatbuilders yard before we set off to explore the sleepy island villages. Zig-zag through the breathtaking scenery of rice paddies & farmland and enjoy the cooling breeze.
Next, learn from friendly local families the art of mat weaving, farming and how to make (and eat) the perfect Banh Dap rice crackers. Meeting local families is a must-do to see the real way of life in Vietnam.
  • Duy Nghia - After snacking on rice crackers, visit a local café to fuel up on local drip-coffee & learn the art of coffee roasting.
  • Bay Mau Coconut Forest - Then we make our way to the coast at the Thu Bon river mouth. It’s up high and over the new bridge offering spectacular panoramic views of Hoi An, which takes us to the water coconut palm fringed Cam Thanh.

*Learn to paddle the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats.
Explore the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war and hear of the extreme conditions endured by soldiers on both sides.

amazing communication - Unfortunately due to getting a flu I was unable to join my motorbike trip with John Lee. With this though he was super easy to deal with and very understanding, he let me change the date and also had excellent communication with me! I will be going on his tours next time I am in Hoi An!!!

Beat tour we’ve had in Vietnam - This was easily the best tour I’ve ever had, Johnny was knowledgeable, funny and made it all feel very personal. From meeting the locals and seeing how they live to day to day to riding the coconut baskets and learning how to cast nets and ending the day with amazing a Vietnamese dinner, my family and I all agree how incredible it was, we will be coming back to do more tours with Johnny the next time we’re in Hoi An. I highly recommend doing any of his tours.

The BEST thing you can do in Hoi An! - What a GREAT tour! Probably the best tour in Vietnam I’ve been on, John was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The tour of the local area was brilliant and it was fantastic meeting local people and learning about what they do. I would highly recommend it at anyone! Even on a super rainy day! Thank you John.
