A main attraction of Faial, this collapsed volcanic cone serves as a powerful reminder of the intensity of nature, with a diameter of 2 km. The route circling the boundary is about 7 km and can be completed in approximately two to three hours. The trail around Caldeira is not physically demanding, but anyone with acrophobia might find a few secured sections challenging.
