A wonderful olive experience! - The olive oil museum is amazing! Beautiful botanical gardens full of herbs and flowers, an educational museum and a gift shop to beat all gift shops. I usually give gift shops a miss, but the opportunity to taste local goods infused with all sorts of flavour before purchase was too good to miss. Don't miss this if you are in Split!

Definitely worth the trip - Went to Stella Croatia the first day and have a great time learning the process of olive oil making and the history of it in the region. The castle we went to on the second day and Klis was awesome! Awesome view of the city from so far up.

Well worth the stop! - We toured the fortress and enjoyed it. The views of Split from here were awesome. We happened to notice a sign for the olive museum, then found out we should have been given tickets to it when we went to the fortress. No matter, just glad we found the olive museum. Our host there pointed out all they had done, and it was incredible. There is a restaurant in the loveliest setting but unfortunately we had just eaten elsewhere so had to pass on dining there, too bad. The botanical garden was well marked and maintained, and the museum itself very well done. A lot of love and hard work went into this complex. And of course, the gift shop, which allowed numerous tasting opportunities--I wish TSA would lighten up and let us take bottles of the liquid onto the plane. There are labs onsite not open to the public, but you get the sense that this is serious business for them, as it should be. I'm so glad we spotted the sign along the road; otherwise we would have missed this great stop. Keep up the good work!

Amazing GOT experience - Klis fortress is amazing & I literally went into the GOT world. One of the location has been altered & a stage has been erected at its place but still one of the best experiences in Split. Must for every GOT fan.

Lovely olive oil museum - The olive museum was bigger and better than I'd expected. Firstly a quick tour through the factory and then a museum explaining how olive oil is made before ending in the shop where various different products were available for testing/tasting (cosmetics, oils, sweets, honey etc). It's all very nicely done. We headed to the onsite Tavern for a very authentic Adriatic lunch in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended a few hours to be spent here.

Interesting, but expensive shop - Had a combined ticket for Stella Croatica and the Klis Fortress. Stella Croatica consisted of an interesting description of how olives are harvested / how olive oil is made etc - this took about 20-30 minutes. Then on to the gift shop which had lots of nice chutneys / oils / cosmetics etc. The quality is good, but the prices are high. And be warned - Stella Croatica products are also available in the duty free section of Zadar airport, and the bottle of oil that cost 15 euros in the gift shop is 9 euros in duty free.
