My First Ever Experience Kite Surfing - Andy was a very good a teacher/Instructor. I sometime can be water phobia but he reassured me that everything was going to be alright. It was a great experience having to try out a new activity and I really enjoyed. Will recommend anyone visiting Lagos Argave Portugal to try this out. It was a great choice of activities for my partner and I . The facilities are lovely with a good swimming pool and cold beer provided by Fritz :) I hope to come back soon in future to complete the full course as I will be traveling to England tomorrow.

Awesome week of windsurfing! - The windsurfing sessions with Adam were great! I now feel confident going windsurfing by myself. Even though i stayed in other accommodation due to the camp being full (a testament to how good Algarve Watersport is) I still felt like I was part of the camp thanks to the friendly staff. James and DD in particular made an extra special effort to make me feel at home.

Great experience, but spend some time on upfront theory and vocabulary 😀 - Fun experience trying to windsurf. However I only rate 3 stars as I believe that some basic theory before hitting the water could have been beneficial for our group. I dont recon that learning basic theory and instructions always serves best whilst doing, but learning some basic elements and the vocabulary before, makes it easier to relate. As an example our instructor told us many times to close the sail, after 45 min I needed to ask what the f*** closing the sail means 😀

My worst Windsuf class - I don't know what the Surf courses will be like but of course our experience with the Windsurf course was terrible both because of the place where the activity took place and because of the instructor. €100 per person for a 2-hour Windsurfing “course” in the Ria de Alvor in the interior of Lagos where the temperature was very high and the lack of water in the estuary did not help make it more bearable. The only explanation they gave us was for us to assemble the equipment ourselves, the rest of the time we spent alone in the estuary doing what we could while at least one of the instructors dedicated himself to Windsurfing on his own without even asking us how it was. we were. After two hours of beating we had to carry all the material back to the van through the mud. I think that at the very least they should have worried about checking the level of the estuary at that time/week or at least informing us that we were below minimum levels. Experience not to be repeated, that's what we did. If I have to recommend a place it would be the Martinal school in Sagres. It has improved a lot this last year, new material, paradisiacal enclave and eager teachers. On a positive note, we would like to highlight how beautiful the camp facility is with a swimming pool, a site that we visited in just 5 minutes so that they would inform us where to go to carry out the activity.
