Because every year Humpback Whales travel to these warmer waters during the months of December thru April for breeding, giving birth and nurturing their young. Humpback Whales are known for their breaching, distinct surface habits and unique songs which makes them a favorite for ecoventurers all over the world.
Alongside of our professionally certified local trained guides take a speed boat ride and learn about these fascinating creatures as they majestically launch themselves out of the water creating tremendous splashes and fantastic photo opportunities. You will also be able to hear them sing their unique songs with our state-of-the-art hydrophone.
Onboard our 28-foot Apex speed boat, set off on the adventure of a lifetime! Our boat is specifically designed for marine mammal viewing, riding on top of the water instead of pounding through it. Making for a more peaceful and safe interaction with the animals.

Our Apex boat is specially designed to glide over the water instead of slicing through it, ensuring a minimum disturbance to the marine creatures and their natural behaviors and migration patterns. This approach allows for peaceful and safe interactions with Humpback Whales. In addition, you’ll enjoy their known musical vocalizations through our advanced hydrophone system. Adhering to local guidelines, Baja Vikings is committed to responsible whale watching practices. Furthermore, to ensure your experience remains with you forever, we take photographs and videos throughout the tour, which we freely provide for you to cherish the precious memories.

The meeting point is located along side the Marina in the API building. The office is number B-20 and has a brown sign above the window. If you locate the circle of surf boards at the corner and walk in the direction of the bay, the building is tan and located on your right hand side.

Such a wonderful tour!! - Couldn’t have asked for better! For a while, we watched as a mama and baby came up for air over and over near our boat, then one breached right by us! We went for a photo by the arch, saw some sea lions, learned about the history of Cabo. As we were going to snorkel, another mama and baby started to play and gave us about a 45 min show! Mario taught us all about why they do what they do, he could predict their movements, and had an incredible depth of knowledge for them and the area. We decided instead of snorkeling to continue enjoying watching the beautiful show the whales were putting on for us. Mario’s photography was also incredible, capturing the whales’ show perfectly, also pictures of us and the scenery, which the company sent a day or two after our tour. Alex, the captain, knew right where to go and kept our boat at an angle perfect for viewing. Definitely an experience of a lifetime!

Baja Viking is the BEST! - My wife and I had a private tour since another group cancelled at the last minute. The tour was amazing! Mario was so knowledgeable about whales and marine life. Extremely fun, interesting and educational. So many great pictures too and Mother Nature couldn’t have been more generous with the weather! This is a must do activity in Cabo and well worth the money. We look forward to booking with BajaViking again on our next trip to Cabo.

Whale watching - Very nice whale watching experience. Guide out personal touch and make every effort to have whale viewing. Perfect photos in front of arch is icing on cake.

Best tour around - Had an amazing tour. Our guide was a whale encyclopedia and a lot of fun. We saw 2 sets of of humpback whales. The calves were so cute🐳 I would go again. The pictures they took were magnificent 😲

Warm experience and fun time! - Mario was a fantastic guide for our time on the water. He had great historical information of the area. I was impressed with his knowledge of the local birds and sea life. Although it’s later in the season, he put us on whales fairly quickly. His enthusiasm was contagious. I was surprised when he communicated with other boats nearby to let them where the whales were headed and when they were breaching! All in all, it was a great experience and full of value!

Just what we were looking for - Had a great tour with Dee, who provided great information about the whales we saw that day, and even some other animals (marlins, a ray, brown pelicans) as they appeared during our tour. The boat was comfortable, and able to get relatively close to the whales. I appreciated the professional photos were included, and we received them shortly afterwards.

Awesome Tour! - This was the 2nd time in 2 weeks that we took this tour. We absolutely loved the staff Dee and Alex the captain! They were very kind, knowledgeable about the animals and were able to answer any questions asked.
It appeared to us how careful they were not to get too close to the animals as to not scare them, but certainly got us up close and personal with them when possible.
We were offered water, juices and a few packaged snacks and free photographs which made the tour that much more relaxing and fun! We were able to relax and enjoy watching the whales and not have to worry about catching the next breach.
Thank you to all the staff working at Baja Vikings EcoAdventures for making this such an enjoyable tour!

Amazing experience - One of the most amazing water adventures we have ever been part of. The staff/crew had a commanding knowledge of their local whale populations, and they were the most kind, considerate, and professional crews we have ever encountered. We look forward to the opportunity to return, and we will use their cruises again, without any hesitation, as they were amazing people and very wise on their subjects
