By travelling in an open-roofed 4x4, we’ll explore the Eastern part of Madeira, starting out from the hotel and heading towards the town of Machico. We then proceed further using traditional and forest routes. Our local guide/operator will bring you to locations such as Portela, Porto da Cruz and Santana, where we’ll pause for lunch and admire the distinctive thatched houses. Following lunch, we’ll stop at Ribeiro Frio and Pico Areeiro, which at about 1818 meters, is the island’s third highest peak.
