Val is the best! - 5 stars for Val! We loved him and he really made our first day in Madeira! We wanted to do the PR1 > PR2 but the route was closed due to bad weather - which we knew would be possible but Val thought on his feet and reacted well to each part of the day! We did a beautiful walk through a valley that was protected from the weather and spent the day afterwards driving around sightseeing and learning, alot of the things were on our bucket list & we wanted to see. All day was like a school day! He is extremely knowledgeable. My partner fully enjoyed driving around open top taking in all the views. Val gave us recommendations for walks for the rest of our trip. We look forward to returning and seeing Val again! Highly recommend.

Best Private Tour! - We decided to book a private tour to see the island, and this did not disappoint! Val was brilliant, taking us to many different spots North and West of the island. We experienced so many things in one day! To name a few, we tried local poncha, dipped our feet in the sea at Seixal beach, off roading on small mountain roads and ended the day trying to conquer my fear of heights at Cabo Girão! Spending the last day of my 20s with Val exploring Madeira was the best way to end it, and will be an experience I’ll never forget! I would highly recommend anyone booking this tour!

Amazing tour! - Our tour with Val was the highlight of our week in Madeira! He was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the island, and we learned so much about its history, culture, vegetation… You name the topic, Val could answer any question in depth! He asked us things we’d like to do along the way and really customized the day to ensure we had an amazing time. Highly recommend booking this tour with Val - you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing - My wife and myself have been on many tours over the years all over the world, but nothing compares to Val's tour. What a genuine enthusiastic family person who is a credit to Maderia, speaking about the island with such passion.From the pick up to drop off we visited places all the other tours couldn't match.
Hopefully we will return to this beautiful island and travel once again with Valdemar.

Loved it! - Excellent experience!! This is a must do if you are in Maderia. Val is an amazing host and showed us so much on this tour. He even took pictures for us and sent them after the tour, a great photographer! He took us to spots that were on our list to see but he also took us to the non touristy spots and in many places, we were the only ones there which was unbelievable. If you have any hesitations in booking, I wouldn’t hesitate. This was the best day of our trip.

The very best way to see Madeira. - What an amazing tour we had with Valdemar around beautiful Madeira. We were on a cruise so basically spent our day in Val’s jeep going all over the island and also off-roading which was tremendous fun! We were four adults including my 90 year old Morher in law who rated it her favourite tour of the cruise.
Valdemar is local with an in-depth knowledge of Madeira’s history, flora and fauna - I don’t think you could pose a question that would stump him!
In addition to seeing so much of the island (we want to return), Val took us to a casual local place for lunch of the most delicious Madeira bread then we, of course, tasted Madeira wine and ended a tour with a Poncha (a lip smackingly good hit of rum, lemon juice and sugar).
5 stars all round!

Private full day wine tour - Fantastic day with my husband and our two friends. Val is incredibly passionate about Madeira and this shone through with the knowledge he shared with us about the day and the history of the island. The wine tasting was an excellent experience, coupled with areas of the island that were less touristy - perfect for us. He also introduced us to Bolo do Caco, the amazing Madeiran sweet potato bread, with lavish garlic butter, and was able to ask for it to be made with oil for me, as I am a vegan. I have since made this at home and it will remain a favourite in our house. We would highly recommend a tour with Val if in Madeira, and we will definitely book with Val, when in Madeira again.
