Fantastic tour - The driver was really friendly and he spoke to all of us during some of the journey, pointing interesting things out to us and giving us tips. First part of the trip was to the Whitney plantation, now I haven't been to any other plantations but if you do want to learn about what it was like for the people who were put through this horrible experience then I would recommend the whitney plantation. It's really eye opening and very sad, but it's apart if history and I feel like everyone should know how they were treated. You walk round the whole plantation, its mainly based outside, tou do walk through the house, but they don't focus on that part. You are given earphones to wear and people who went through this speak to you, telling you about their experience back when it was an active plantation. It also goes into detail about where they lived and the uprising that happened. I would recommend this tour highly. The other part of the tour was the airboat swamp tour, I really enjoyed this. I didn't expect to see an alligator much less how many we did actually get to see. As soon as we got on the boat and started out, we turned a corner and an alligator was there with another boat, our tour guide stopped the boat to get the alligator over to our boat. They coax them over with chicken, and the alligator jumps up to eat it, it was a very good experience. The tour guide also managed to get an alligator on the boat and walked it across by coaxing it with the chicken, it didn't stop and look at us which I was thankful for 😅. The tour guide was really good and full of knowledge about the swamp and the wildlife that lives around the swamp, he was able to spot quite a few different animals which was really cool. He also went to a part of the swamp which was open water and took us on a fast ride around it, so if you're an adrenaline junkie you'd probably really enjoy that part of the trip. All in all I would definitely recommend this tour company, it was worth the money and everybody we came across were really friendly. Both tours were really good in different ways, plantation was good because you saw through the eyes of the slaves and the swamp tour was good because of the alligators. If you can fit this into your trip to New Orleans do it you won't regret it!

Must do!!!! - Omg this was an awesome experience and will recommend to everyone. The transportation from our hotel to the planation, then the swamp tour, and then back to the hotel was seamless and informative. Mrs. D our driver was amazing and was very informative about everything, she was a true delight.

Very informative and enjoyable day - Our combo Whitney Plantation Tour + airboat swamp tour (from N’awlins Luxury Tours) was a worthwhile day outside the city. Very well organized, and our guide/driver Dionne(sp?) was very informative and considerate. The only minor complaint is that there’s no communication regarding hotel pickup- no one texted on where pickup was exactly, or what/who to look for.

A perfect day - We toured the plantation first, which was the perfect thing to do. I don't like self guided tours, and I think having an actual guide would have been more beneficial. I found the audio portion informative, but a bit confusing to navigate. The plantation focuses on the slaves, which is a difficult but necessary thing. The airboat swamp ride was the best! Captain Cody was so respectful of the area and the creatures, and just made the whole thing a huge joy!! The whole day was well organized, and hats off the Dionne our driver for the drive by commentary, and getting us there safely.

Had a wonderful time the Madison Dupuy was really nice. - The Whitney Plantation was a learning experience and hope to go back soon. The airboat ride was great experience. We fed the alligators marshmallows.

Great Tours! - Great tour overall! Nice, clean tour bus, and we stayed fairly on time throughout the day. Were picked up from our hotel near Bourbon Street around 8:15 AM and dropped off around 4:30/5. Would definitely recommend the Whitney Plantation tour (self-guided with earphones and prerecorded commentary) and the airboat swamp tour (gators!). I do wish the communication was better - we loved the hotel pick-up and drop-off but didn't really receive any sort of confirmation or info on that process beforehand. Left kind of wondering but ended up working out.

Great experience!!!!!! - The driver Dione made this an incredible experience and Whitney Plantation was awesome. Driver pointed out all types of landmarks along the way. We were also given some extra photo ops of Oak Alley Plantation. After our plantation we had a sit down lunch at a restaurant on the swamp grounds which was amazing, then we enjoyed a airboat swamp tour we seemed so many alligators. I will recommend N’awlins Luxury Tours to family and friends.

Well worth it - The Whitney Plantation was excellent and really depicted the life on a plantation from a slaves point of view. Lunch was great at the swamp boat tour and the air boat was a great thrill. The only thing that let this tour down was the transport to each. The driver was great but the bus had AC that either froze you or cooked you, nothing in-between.
