SABINA BOAT TOURS in Olhâo - Highly recommended! - We had a wonderful day! Our captain JOAO took us on a comfortable boat with sun blinds and free water, for a 5-hour trip through the Ria Formosa. João is a local guide who enthusiastically told us everything about the region in excellent English. An expert in fauna and flora, ecosystems and fishing activities. We did 3 stops on Culatra Island. The first stop he let us explore the colorful village of Farol. Afterwards we sailed to the largest village of Culatra where the captain recommended a very good restaurant 'Maresia'. He made reservations for us. We enjoyed dirt-cheap yet very tasty cocktails followed by 'Ameijoas' straight from the sea! Highly recommended! We continued our trip to the other end of the island where we had the time to take a nice walk on a long beach. Tired but very satisfied we sailed back to Olhão! Highly recommended for those who want to experience a carefree day! MARIA, a Dutch-speaking and also perfect German and English-speaking guide, will provide you with all the information at one of the boat kiosks along the dike in Olhâo.

Excellent - Superb experience, magnificent little 5.5 hour cruise punctuated with interesting stops. The restaurant recommended by our guide Ricardo is simply excellent. Everything is done in a good mood and without the stress of time. Many thanks to Ricardo for his good humor, his explanations and his advice. We highly recommend this little “trip” full of simplicity and authenticity.

Five-Hour Boat Tour - Sancho our skipper, gave us a delightfully informative tour. He told us about the clam and oyster farms, history of the region and the livelihoods of the fishing community. From Olhao, we visited the light house at Farol, stopped in Culatra for a superb fish lunch and then on to the eastern end of the island for a quick swim. Highly recommended. Sheila and Trevor

Perfect day - The skipper João Sancho was great during the tour. All the time giving information about what is visible in the beautiful Rio Formosa. All day no hurry so that our 5 hours trip took 6,5 hours. Perfect trip, very nice captain.

The islands around Olhão have a rich history and with his knowledge of the past and present he gave us a great understanding of this beautiful working waterway.

Informative and fun! - Thankyou Jaime for a fantastic day exploring the lagoons. We all learnt so much about tides and local clam 'farming'....and visiting our own private (Blake) island. We had such a nice day we overstayed by 2 hours!

Sabino 4 hour boat trip - Superb trip. Skipper Joao personalised the experience for us as one of our party was particularly interested in birds. It was a comfortable boat with drinks provided. He arranged a lunch table at a fish restaurant on one of the islands and was relaxed with the time of our return. We highly recommend this trip.
