Absolutely the Best Experience - Our party of four recently toured the Douro Valley through WithLocals jwith Anselmo as our guide and had a fabulous day! Anselmo was a perfect host and treated us like family and provided a fountain of knowledge about life in the Douro Valley and its marvelous wines. We visited the oldest port winery and had a beautiful boat trip on the Douro River. We also had a gourmet lunch with multiple wines and port at a high-end hotel and winery. Highly recommend this excursion!

Wonderful day with Orlando in the Douro Valley - Orlando provided us with a full day of touring and storytelling. We learned a lot from him and were inspired by his enthusiasm for his city of Porto and the Douro Valley. He was prompt and we especially appreciated the other unique and memorable stops along the way.

A beautiful day - Anselmo was a bit surprised that we didn't know much about port wine, and that we booked him more because of our interest in the beautiful landscape of the Douro Valley. He explained to us everything about wine making during a tasting with a fantastic view of the scenic vineyards. Anselmo gave us time for taking pictures and stopped his car when we wanted it. We took the boat trip that we really enjoyed. The icing on the cake was the delicious lunch at a quinta. Highly recommended, thanks for the beautiful day.

A heavenly day in the Douro Valley - Anselmo was an amazing guide. He knew all the roads less traveled and took us to
breathtaking areas with views like I have never seen. We had lunch at a local spot he chose and it couldn't have been more beautiful or more welcoming. I wish I could travel with Anselmo on every trip.

Amazing Duoro Valley experience with incredible views and wine - Anselmo was amazing with our group, sharing history, stories, magnificent views and overall good times with us. He made my job as organizer super easy, coordinating everything early and easily over WhatsApp.

Porto to Douro Valley with Amazing Orlando! - Orlando is the best! He is super polite, punctual, fun, funny, multi-lingual, interesting, has great knowledge and suggestions of additional places to visit in Portugal. We highly recommend Orlando as your guide. You will learn and see so much of Portugal with Orlando. The Douro Valley was amazing.

Love The Valley, Love Anselmo! - Choosing Anselmo as our tour guide was the best decision I made on a two month trip to Portugal. Besides being extremely knowledgable about the Douro and its wine/port, he has a gift of making you feel like friends from the moment he picks you up at your door!!! I actually miss him!!! The bottom line is that you will not regret the investment you are making.. the scenery, the food, and your time spent in Anselmo’s company is all worth it. I HIGHLY recommend Anselmo.. he will work with you to make your day “YOURS TO REMEMBER”!!!!!

Wonderful Tour! - Our family recently went on a private tour of the Douro Valley with Anselmo. It was a wonderful tour! Anselmo was friendly, very knowledgeable, accommodating to our requests, great with our two kids (4 and 14), and very easy to spend the day with. He took us to some beautiful spots to sample port, see amazing views, go on a boat ride, and have lunch over-looking the valley. We all agreed it was the highlight of our trip, and we'd highly recommend Anselmo as a tour guide!

Outstanding Day in the Douro Valley with Anselmo - Our group absolutely loved our visit in the Douro Valley. All communications with Anselmo were clear, timely and helpful. He went the extra mile to accommodate our needs, including arranging for a change in date (for a sunny day - thanks for the great couple we joined) and even offering a bonus visit and extra time visiting; it was outstanding.
Anselmo is an excellent driver. The vehicle (a van) was perfect for our group; very comfortable.
Anselmo shared his knowledge of the region, of wineries, of history with passion and humour. He made it interesting and lively.
We had some treats, amazing visits, laughters, good food and wine and lasting memories.
All members of our group strongly recommend a tour with Anselmo.
