A must-do addition to your Kings Canyon trip! - What a great introduction to local indigenous culture! Bushtucker, art, medicine, tools and weaponry. Delivered eloquently by Peter and Natasha, traditional owners from within the park. A must do addition to your Kings Canyon trip!

This tour provides an appreciation of the indigenous culture of the centre that will enhance your trip - This is an outstanding introduction to the Kings Canyon area from an Indigenous stand point. It would be great for kids and would be physically comfortable for those less mobile. Natasha and Peter were fantastic guides, so well informed and great communicators. We learnt so much about the culture of the local indigenous groups that really added to our appreciation of the central desert. It was money really well spent and one of the best tours I have been on. After an explanation and demonstration on each section - plants, tools/weapons, jewellery, art, Natasha or Peter would answer questions really thoroughly and there was the opportunity to closely look at, touch, smell etc all the objects - the most fascinating was learning how to find a witchetty grub in a root or branch and then holding it (we opted not to eat it!). Marvellous!

Yes, the drive is long and unpaved, and its worth every making - Had we skipped Uluru (no sane person skips Uluru) this experience alone would have been worth the drive from Alice to Uluru (Karrke in Kings Canyon is roughly halfway). A wonderful, eye-opening presentation from people who are truly experts informed by both research and a lifetime of experience.

Authentic Karrke Aboriginal Experience - Natasha and Peter are wonderful, engaging guides/tutors. They share their knowledge of the Karrke culture; from hunting, food, plants, way of life, making a home, making hunting tools, jewellery. Explain the history of Aboriginal Art and so much more. Plenty of time for questions and photos. Highly recommend this experience, don't be put off by the price, just do this if you visit the Kings Creek area, you will not regret it.

Great way to experience the local aboriginal culture - Great way to experience the culture and knowledge of the aboriginal people in the Kings Canyon region. The cultural experience include information about: the preparation of food, the plants from which edible parts can be collected, which animals where hunted and in which way it was done, the tools that where given by the women and men ancestors spirits, a special tasting of honey ants, the production and history of aboriginal art and much much more. Amazing - The welcome I received, the wonderful hands on explanations I received about the Karrke culture were amazing. Young children were welcomed and included - this was a highlight of my trip. If you are hesitant about the cost - do it! It's worth it and it helps this mob earn a living to live on their land. Very highly recommended

Professional and amazing learning experience - What a fantastic tour. We both enjoyed the experience and how culturally educational it was. From bush tucker and medicines to traditional weapons and rock art to how modern day dot painting and bead jewellery evolved. The tour moved from location to location (short walk between) as the topics evolved. A brother and sister duo were excellent and interesting presenters. There was plenty of time for questions and photos. Highly recommended.

A genuine and very friendly cultural experience - Friendly, informative, really well presented. Lots of information about culture, hands-on opportunities to hold traditional weapons, bush foods etc. We even got to eat honey ants! A really memorable experience and it fitted so well into our itinerary as we did the 2pm tour and then checked into the resort at Kings Canyon straight away aftewards. Highly recommend.
