Beautiful winery, good wine & delicious food - We had a small group for the mid morning tour recently and I can highly recommend this tour. The owner did a very good job of showing us his vineyard & explaining all that goes into making his wine & olive oil. The sommelier who handled the tasting had a great personality. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious and we left with wine that we look forward to enjoying again at home.

Great excursion In Siena, especially if you like wine and people and food! - Our host John, was great. He explained all the steps in their wine, making process, answered all the questions we had and was delightful during our tasting. Food and wine was magnificent. What a great way to learn about the Tuscan area and meet new people. Highly recommended!

Excellent Wine Tour and Tasting - We really loved this wine tasting. The farm owner actually gave the tour which made it so special! It was a lovely place to learn about his wine making experience as well as his olive oil making experience. All of his wines were very good. We ordered some to ship back home. We were also giving a nice little meal to go along with the tasting! I highly recommend this tour!

This tour deserves 10 stars!!! - I would give 10 stars if I could for this beautiful wine tour! Renato Spanu is the owner/wine and olive oil maker. He does the tour and you learn so much about the region and process. The wines and olive oil were wonderful! They served us an amazing lunch!! You absolutely want to go to La Lastra!!!

Very enjoyable and... - Very enjoyable and informative wine tour! We loved the tasting and the lunch was amazing - some of the best food we had on our trip to Italy. Even in the off-season (early March), the property is beautiful. They also have great olive oil that we bought a bottle of in addition to wine. Short drive from Siena which was very convenient. Highly recommend!!

Half day winery tour with lunch - Great way to spend the afternoon in Siena. The venue was a 15 minute taxi ride from our hotel in the old city and it's surprising how close the country side is to town. The winery is old and very well maintained, so walking through the archway entrance was like going backwards in time. We had a nice tour of the cellar and the vineyard and lots of details about the running of this organic winery. Our host had excellent knowledge of wine making and the wine we tasted. All 4 wines were very good and so was the light lunch that the winery provided. If you can only afford a half day, this is an excellent choice. Keep in mind that unless you have a car you will need to take a taxi to and from your accommodation.

Best Wine Tour You Will Ever Go To - The staff/owners are so incredibly accommodating and informative, and they made the whole experience incredible. I learned so much about the process of making wine and olive oil from start to finish, as well as the environmental challenges that the vineyards must endure. Moreover, the food was delicious and the wine was certainly the best I have ever had (and I live in Spain!). I would buy their entire stock if I could. I highly recommend this tour. It is so much more intimate and informative than any other wine tour you will experience.

Wonderful time - 5, the winery owner gave us our tour. He was incredible and shared so much of his knowledge. The wine tasting was great and we also got lunch.

A great time - A wonderful experience and a terrific way to spend part of your day. Our guide, Giancarlo, was very knowledgeable and took his time in explaining and answering various questions about all aspects of wine and olive oil production. The wine tasting with lunch was very good. We purchased a mixed case (wine and olive oil) to be delivered back to the US and we are looking forward to receiving it. We would definitely recommend and plan on going back the next time we are in Siena.
