Upon arrival at the My Son sanctuary, we will take a leisurely 90-minute stroll to explore the age-old Hindu temples, which were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Constructed by the historic Champa kingdom, affiliated with the Khmer Empire, roughly 70 Hindu temples were built from the 4th to 13th centuries. Nestled in a picturesque valley encircled by towering mountains, the temple complex offers a serene ambiance. As you meander through the ruins, the remnants of bomb craters from the Vietnam War are visible. Despite the damage inflicted by the conflict, the ancient structures continue to captivate visitors, including scholars of history and architecture.
