Lisbon visit - We usually explore the city using hop-on hop-off or taxi. This particular line had several routes plus the tram. The particular bus we were riding at the time broke down, but close enough to a chuch stop, which we decided then to visit.

Lisbon - What I remember is the inconvenience of the bus schedule timing for the first bus. In order to get to Jeronimos to beat the line, instead of catching the yellow bus, I took a taxi. On Sunday there were four stops blocked off but the mean bus driver would not allow me to stay on the bus a few extra stops to get to at least one sight that was on my list. She was apparently saying ‘good morning’ to me, but since I wear a hearing aid I didn’t hear her at first. She got quite rude until I answered her. After paying for taxis to get to and from some museums, I think the price of the yellow bus is wasted. I could not use the ear buds because I wear a hearing aid and have no hearing in my other ear.

Okay for a first impression. - The first half was very informative. We got off in Belem, and when we got back on the bus it was overcrowded and the audio systems didn't work in some places. But it was good for a first impression.

Change of route without warning - On the day there was a marathon and the yellow bus simply changed the route and they didn't tell us - especially because the marathon wasn't scheduled on the day - at 10:00 in the morning we only managed to catch the bus at almost noon. Disrespectful towards the customer - especially because there is an app, etc. I could have notified you in the app - sent a message. Anyway?

Don‘t recommend !! - The overall experience was just about okish. We tried to get on the bus at the tile museum but the bus driver just ignored us and we ended up wasting 40 minutes waiting for the next one to come which was very ANNOYING! Yellow bus tour also needs to be more clear about the discounts you get at museums as we found out you don’t get a discount on your ticket at the tile museum. The gentleman at the tile museum literally told us that ‚they lie‘ about the discounts and that he’s only aware of discounts on tickets for the aquarium. After that experience we were nervous about using our ticket for the tram but luckily it worked! We also felt that there was too much music and not enough commentary! We purchased the 48 hour bus ticket which was 28 Euros per person which is quite steep based off the experience you actually get! You’re better off just walking around Lisbon, doing your research online beforehand and taking the tram occasionally!

Boring and overpriced - I learnt basically nothing - Lisbon is a beautiful city and the tour had some lovely views. However, the commentary was sparse and dull. It was 90% music with very little information. €22 felt very expensive for this tour. It was so boring we got off halfway round and got a tram back into town because we couldn't be bothered getting back on. I'm a tour guide and I wanted to learn about Portugal and Lisbon - I felt like I learnt almost nothing after being on this bus for an hour with perhaps 10 minutes total commentary. Boring, overpriced, and the traffic is terrible (which isn't their fault but means you spend ages sitting in traffic while music plays with almost no commentary at all). It was very disappointing.

Not the yellow buses - Be careful there are 2 companies, yellow or red buses. You have to take the red buses, many more buses, availability and therefore much less waiting. The routes are identical.
