In size, they are smaller than their predecessors, and were built of local stone.

The major pyramids at Abusir were built as stepped pyramids, although the largest of them is that of Neferirkare is believed to have originally been built as a step pyramid some seventy metres in height and then later transformed into a completeā€ pyramid by having its steps filled in with loose limestone casing.

Great tour of the Pyramids - This was an amazing experience. The driver, Mustafa and guide, Hassan, were so friendly and helpful. Great information about the history of Egypt and the Pyramids, tons of wonderful photos, and they helped navigate busy Cairo. We really enjoyed this tour and wish we were staying longer to experience even more!

A truly epic time! - Highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to visit the not-as-highly-trafficked Dahshur. I was glad to see all three major pyramid sites, including Giza and Saqqara. My guide was Deen Mosleh and he was so fantastic ā€” very knowledgeable and engaging, pointing out some really neat things I would have missed, especially at Saqqara. He was even my personal photographer at Giza, a bonus I did not expect. I canā€™t recommend this particular tour enough and you will be very lucky to get Deen as a guide. Everything was efficient, great communication and snacks too. Do be advised that this is a really long day, especially if itā€™s hot (like it was when I went). It can be tiring but worth it. Deen and our driver were pros and kept me comfortable even as it was really blazing hot outside.

Siwa Oasis long weekend - Our trip to Siwa Oasis was a once in a lifetime experience! The tour was organized and everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating with any need that came up. We had a ton of flexibility and felt relaxed even though we were constantly moving. The drive on the dunes is an amazing (thrilling) experience, and the scenery is unbelievable. The views from town are beautiful as well, very diverse and historic place. Not to mention great shopping and food. We only wish we had been able to stay longer. Excellent choice for a unique and beautiful experience with exceptional guides and company (not my first time with this company, they are very dependable).

First time in Egypt and was it was Excellent - My trip to Egypt was a very last minute plan and I found Ms Esraa Ahmed on Instagram through Egykemet Tours page. I contacted her there via Instagram and she gave prompt response. I told her the places we were keen to go. She planned out the whole 4 days trip for us very well for us. Day 1 - Sharm El Sheikh We were picked up from the airport upon arrival by Mr Ahmad the driver was arranged for us by Ms Esraa. He was very kind and helpful he than brought us for a wonderful Egyptian breakfast, followed by a short visit to Al Shahaba mosque. We than head to the submarine boat trip which was awesome we got to see alots of corals and fishes for us who are scared of swimming we had the chance to see the underwater world beauty. We were than transported to the hotel for some rest and in the evening we requested to go to Santorini Restaurant which had a magnificent view. Day 2 - Giza Pyramids & Khan El Khalili street Today we took a flight from sharm to Cairo and we were greeted by Ms Esraa with a warm welcome. We were hungry and she brought us for lunch immediately before our pyramids tour, on the way she provided us with drinks as well as the weather was very hot. After lunch one of my friend didnā€™t have a cap Ms Esraa brought us to a store to quickly get a cap and off we go to the pyramids. It was like a dream coming true visiting one of the 7 wonders we were all excited. During the tour at the Giza pyramids Ms Esra shared a lot of information she knew the whole history very well, we actually learned a lot from her. Than we headed to Khan El Khalili, there she brought us to best shops with good and reasonable prices. We manage to get souvenirs for our family and friends. She bought us Egyptian style shawarma dinner and sent us back to our hotel which was exactly in front of the pyramids with a perfect view which we could watch the pyramid lights show. We stayed in Cleopatra pyramid view hotel Day 3 - Alexandria and Nile Cruise We were again picked up from our hotel from Ms Esraa and the driver by 7.30 as our journey was going to take 3 hours. She prepares falafel shawarma breakfast for us in the transport. On the way we were allowed to play songs of our choices to keep us entertained and we stopped on the way for coffee/tea with toilet breaks. She aso shared with us informations along the journey. Upon arrival to Alexandria we started with the Catacomb tour where again Ms Esraa shared alot of history with us and how mummies were mummified. From there we headed to Quatbay Citadel again alot of history was shared with us. Ms Esraa on the plus point is a very good photographer she took a lot of nice pictures for us as she knew good spots to get on point pictures. We than head for lunch to a seafood restaurant by the view ā€œFish Marketā€ we had a very filling seafood lunch. Finally before leaving back to Cairo she brought us to a cafe with which had a parrot and we had a picture taking session with the parrot with sea view back ground and headed back to Cairo. On the way back we had our coffee /tea and toilet break as well. We also tried an Egyptian dessert I for the name but it was delicious. Upon arrival to Nile we checked in and then she sent us for our Nile Cruise by Andrea. We had a fantastic time on the cruise with live band and awesome performances. We stayed in Nile Jewel View hotel with a perfect view from the room. Day 4 - Cairo Citadel - Museum of Civilization Today she picked us up at 9am this time we had our breakfast at the hotel as we requested. She than toured us to the Citadel and Mohammed Ali mosque again she shared a lot of history behind it , than we headed to the Civilization museum where saw many mummies. After the tour we requested for another trip to Khan El Khalili to buy few more things which Ms Esraa brought us happily without any hesitation. She even helped us to bargain and we really bought a lot of silver and animal material bags. We were very grateful to have her as our guide. Before dropping us to the airport she brought us for famous Egyptian Khosairi which was very delicious and filling as well. Thank you Ms Esraa Ahmed, me and my friends really had an awesome trip. For sure we will make another trip. We felt like we are long time friends and very safe in your hands. Anyone who will like to travel to Egypt, Ms Esraa will be your number 1 guide no doubt
