Our first time in Thailand was amazing largely because of this tour guide! - What an amazing experience!! We had the pleasure of having Otto as our private driver and he was better than we expected. It was our first time coming to thailand with our family if 5 ( including baby toddler). He provided a baby car seat for us the entire time we were with him and was incredibly patience through all the screaming. We had to change plans numerous times because of baby schedule and he was super flexible. He will be our family driver from now on when we come to ChiangMai again. I highly recommend this company!! You would be lucky to get him.

Perfect - This was fabulous in every way: on time, very responsive to our needs, and wonderful English. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Perfect family driver - Otto spoke great English and drove us where we wanted. He was a considerate driver as we took the winding roads up to Doi Suthep. It was so helpful to have a driver ready for us after our adventures. Otto was also very friendly and answered many questions about Chiang Mai. He even arranged a ride for us later in the evening. If you need a good driver, I would highly recommend Otto.

Otto should be your choice - We hired Otto for 2 half day trips at the end of January '23. He was a really great guide and very flexible about changing from the original itinerary. He was friendly, spoke good English and was always on time. The car was spotless with water for passengers. Thank you, Otto - you were a delight.

Fantastic Half Day Handicraft Tour - I wanted to see Bo Sang and specifically the umbrella making and chose the flexibilty of a half day tour with Chiang Mai Driving Tours so that I could spend more time in one place or less in another. Otto was my driver and he was warm, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and a safe driver. The car was large, luxurious and clean, Otto had water on hand for me and I could leave items in the car at stops. We went to the umbrella factory first and Otto explained the Sa paper making and we went through the different stations at the factory. I spent a lot of time at the shop choosing items but there was no pressure about time. I also went to a Silk workshop and shop, a lacquerware shop with an extensive explanation of the process, a silver makers, a Celadon pottery making workshop and shop and a cotton goods shop. Otto was at pains to say that there was no obligation to buy, which I appreciated, although the sales staff were very keen but not overly pushy (I did walk out without buying at one of the locations and bought small items at several others). By the time we had done all of those tours, I still had an hour and asked Otto about a scenic drive in the area, which there were not. But based on our prior conversation he asked if I would like to go to a nearby Wat, which I did. This turned out to be Wat Chang Kam in the area of the sunken Wiang Kum Kam which I had read about on a museum tour a few days before. A wonderful bonus! I can't reccommend Chiang Mai Driving Tours enough, I had a great day. It really is a case of you get the experience you pay for and this was well worth it.

Half Day with Otto - We were so glad we booked a half day tour with Otto. So gracious and hospitable, we were sad to see the excursion come to an end. We visited Wat Doi Suthep & Wat Pha Lat with some great historical context given to us from Mr. Otto. He then took us to a Silk Factory where we learned how silk is made and did some shopping. On our way back in to the Old City, he gave us a wonderful lunch recommendation - Huen Phen (which we would also highly recommend). Thank you Otto for a great day into the Thai landscape!

Nice guy ,great day - We had the fortunate chance to read the reviews of Otto's half day driving tours around Chiang Mai. Reviews are correct, Mr Otto you're a real nice guy, we had no idea where to go for the half day, knew couldn't go too far. Mr Otto suggested "the Sticky waterfall" We were just looking for somewhere without 100's of other tourists. What a nice trip to a national park i can't pronounce. Very few other tourists, just friendly Thai families enjoying a day climbing the waterfall. Not an easy challange as my grazed knee and bruised shoulder will testify, but a task completed. If you have the need to use a local guide who speaks very good English and want see something other than the regular spots, give him a try, you'll be glad you did.10/10😊

Great trip to do - Very interesting morning but be warned, there is no agenda with this tour - you need to know where you want to go and the level of English is not great so we didn't get any background information. We were suggested to go to a couple of places, Tiger Kingdom which was great -m the tigers are allocated 2 trainers for life and whilst in a reserve they are not drugged or tied up. The Elephant sanctuary - the same deal, the elephants have their own dedicated trainer and are not ied up or caged - makes me feel really good. We cuddled and fed them.fantastic
