Best Chichén Itzá tour hands down - Everything was amazing.Christina helped setup and coordinate this tour and was great helping us with our pickup. Juan was our tour guide who made this experience amazing. We started out driving to Chichén Itzá from Cancun at 6:30am. Because you change time zones this made us get there at 8am when it opens and help avoid the busy time. At the Chichén Itzá it is very hot so make sure to wear plenty sunscreen and a hat. Juan gave us a lot of history and information about the Mayan culture and the Chichén Itzá. Him being an archeologist helped in giving as much information as possible. While at the Chichén Itzá there are vendors that sell many hand carved statues and masks. Take the opportunity to buy anything you want inside the Chichén Itzá because it will be cheaper than outside. Juan recommended a mango smoothie that was delicious from a shop there. From the Chichén Itzá we left and went to a cenote on the way to Valladolid. The cenote was breathtaking and the water was refreshing after walking in the heat all morning. There were iguanas everywhere outside of the cenote. From the cenote we went to lunch at a restaurant in Valladolid. Juan ordered the lunch while we were in the cenote to ensure it was ready while we got there. We wanted to experience the Mayan and Mexican culture by trying the food he recommended. We ended up eating guacamole, Aztec soup, Mayan pulled pork, Chile relleno, and smoked chorizo. The food was amazing and something I would have never expected to eat before. I don’t like avocados but the guacamole was delicious and the avocados in the Aztec soup were delicious. From here we left to head back to the resort which was about 2 hours driving. Juan was an amazing tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to experience visiting the Chichén Itzá privately while avoiding all the crowd and tour buses.

Chichen Itza Tour - Everything was amazing. We did book our tour through Viator and Carolina helped us set up the tour. She helped us make sure everything was set up nicely. Our tour guides name was Juan, and he was great! He was very personable and made us feel comfortable the whole time. He knew so much about the history and everything was very interesting and informative. He even told us about other things to see and tours we should take while we’re here.

BEST DAY EVER! - We had an amazing day! Irvin, our guide, picked us up at our resort and immediately had cold water bottles ready for us. The drive was very relaxing, and we learned a lot of interesting facts about Mexico. On the way, we stopped for a short break. At the location where we stopped, you could grab something to eat and drink, and there were also clean restrooms.
When we arrived at Chichen Itza, Irvin provided a lot of information about the Maya and Aztec civilizations. He told the stories with such great energy and enthusiasm. He didn’t only tell the known and official information about the history. He also told us his own vision on some things and he could support his vision with some evidence and facts. He was also very considerate of everyone's needs.
Afterward, we went to the cenote, where we had a wonderful swim in a surreal, beautiful environment. There were nice changing rooms, clean restrooms, and a place to buy drinks and food. But above all, the cenote was truly stunning. Clear water and a beautiful cave. Irvin also had a lot to share about this cenote.
After swimming in the cenote, we went to Valladolid. We had a delicious lunch at an authentic restaurant, Paladar de Cura. Irvin had already arranged for some tasty appetizers to be on the table, and he advised us on the specialties of the menu. After lunch, we were taken back to the resort.
I can’t help but be enthusiastic about this tour, and I want to thank Irvin immensely for making this day fantastic. I had a day I will never forget, and I am incredibly grateful for that.

An amazing personal experience! - The private vip tour was a truely amazing experience. Carolina was great at booking and confirming our trip while also ensuring that we were well prepared. Irving was an awesome tour guide. He provided plenty of facts and knowledge about Chichen Itza that I didnt know prior to the trip. He was also great with my son ensuring that he to was having fun. The restaurant and cenote was such an added bonus. Irving called ahead and had a table and food ready. The pork appetizer was delicious. Perfect balance of planned tour with free time and ability to go at our own pace and adjust through the day.

Amazing Cancún 10-12 August 2024 - Although we booked a private tour, never had we expected a gleaming black Mercedes Benz to pick us (we later found out it was the company owner’s car). As with all our Viator experiences, our guide Juan was earlier than punctual and already waiting at the lobby. His driving and timing were perfect and we arrived at Chichen Itza when it opened 8am. Another great advantage of using this tour was having tickets ready in advance without queueing again to enter.
Everything went smooth, with a nice dip in a Centre and authentic Mexican lunch. On the way back Juan gave an extra ride around the town square which was a nice touch.
Coming from a Journey 50th Anniversary concert in NYC, Juan let us play and we sang songs from YouTube on the car’s speakers all the way back.
Icing on the cake, Juan is a professor of archeology and made this historical tour perfect

Super nice, educational and relaxed tour - Super nice tour, perfectly organized. Great SUV, Heriberto L. is a very good guide , very patient, high knowledge and a very good driver. In Chichén Itzá we were there in front of the tourist crowds, which was very good , then swimming in a nice cenote and then very good Mexican food. All around very good tour.
