  • Iglesia Colonial de Chinchero - Chinchero is located 28 km from the city of Cusco, at 3,780 meters above sea level. Its main square is an extraordinary fusion between Inca and colonial architecture. Its church is one of the best examples of Cusco religious art, it was built on Inca walls, with an altar decorated in gold leaf in the Baroque style.
  • Yucay Museo de Cultura Viva - This is a centre Andean traditions interpretations where you can see demonstrations of the elaboration of textile work, silverware and pottery.
  • Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - Ollantaytambo, a typical example of urban planning of the Incas still inhabited like in the past. You will find here a great archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers.

In the morning, you will be picked from your Cusco hotel to visit Chinchero, a typical Cusco city situated at a high altitude offering a stunning view of the valley. This region’s residents maintain the Inca’s handed-down artisan customs and knowledge. There are also historical remnants and a stunning 17th century church available. Next, you will be taken to the Living Museum of Yucay, an Andean traditions interpretation center, where textile crafting, adobe, pottery, and silverware demonstrations take place the same way they were done in the past. Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you enjoy some free time for lunch. Then, explore the town and local archaeological site, which has been continuously lived in since Inca times, and ascend the iconic fortress built against a mountain. After these experiences, you will be transferred back to your hotel. *If visiting on a Sunday, a trip to the Chinchero market is included.
