Very Dedicated Team - We did the sheep farm visit and a wine tour with Sue. She was just excellent -- really engaging, knowledgeable and friendly. She took tourism as seriously as any other dedicated craftsperson.

I can’t say enough about this tour! - If you want a glimpse into the lives of sheep and cattle farmers, check out this tour. Heather and Trevor were very nice and hospitable. I saw a sheepdog herding sheep, a shearing, and got a history of wool production as well as of the area. Graham, our guide, provided bits of info on the drive there and answered questions both sheep and non-sheep related. 🤓 The scenery was beautiful and we passed through Springfield with its massive Simpsons’ 🍩. A good time was had by all!

Really wonderful tour. We got to see... -
Really wonderful tour. We got to see with my wife an authentic sheep farm, the shearing of a sheep, a sheep dog working going out to gather and bring back about 12 sheep and putthing them in a corner, all this done by a farmer only whistling at him. Unbelievable...
afterwards definitively book the jet boat tour which is only about 10 minutes down the road on the Waimakariri river. Great experience too to top off the day!

Convenient pick-up, friendly driver... -
Convenient pick-up, friendly driver, and clean mini bus. We were in a very small group which was great because we were comfortable and able to get more involved and ask questions and have the undivided attention of the driver and host/farmer. We visited a small farm, we were greeted immediately by a lovely older gentleman who is an inspiration to everyone to be so active and in control of sheep. Some sheep were in a stall awaiting our arrival, we were shown how to sheer them and given the opportunity to have a turn ourselves. We then went out to a paddock and watched how the farmer instructed a sheep dog how to herd up sheep and bring them to us. It was amazing to watch how such a little dog was in control of so many sheep. We had some photo opportunities with the sheep and farm. We then headed inside to have a beautiful morning tea, a fantastic spread of homemade baking, and great conversation. A pleasant and informative way to spend a morning.

Was a little dissapointed in this... -
Was a little dissapointed in this tour. Basically just visited a man's back yard were there were about two dozen or so sheep. He gave a brief sheering demonstration, we had tea and cookies and left. It lasted about 30-40 minutes or so. I was expecting a little more especially considering the price of the tour.

Anyway, sheep farm tour was good to understand the sheep shaving. If I got chance to shave the sheep, drink sheep's milk, it would be much better.

can't find words to express our disappointment - You cancelled the trip! From lack of numbers 😥 Took our money anyway! 🤔 We are still waiting for the promised refund!😟 And now you have the audacity to ask for feedback. If there was a minus star rating you'd be getting it!
