My sister and I did this tour with Aleja and this was one of the highlights of Bogota. Aleja started our tour by taking us to a coffee shop across from the market where we had excellent cappuccinos and got to know each other. We then went to the market where we started in the flowers section. Colombia is the second biggest exporter of flowers in the world, after the Netherlands. Then Aleja stopped at a bread shop, Pandebonitos de la Virgen where she bought us 3 different types of bread and 3 different drinks to sample. This was the best pan de bono we had in all of Colombia. After this we moved into the fruit and vegetable part of the market where we tasted more than 20 fruits, some of it known to us, some totally unknown. We took lots of photos and Aleja even sent us a list of the fruit with Spanish names and pictures so that we could identify them afterwards on our photos. We also walked through the meat and fish sections which were very clean and she bought us arepas to taste. After this incredible tour she and her driver took us back to our apartment where she left her bicycle in the morning. Before heading home she first walked with us to show us the nearest supermarket to our apartment. She did so many extra things for us, not only on this day but also on the days we took other tours with her. She helped us with arrangements for the rest of our Colombia-tour which we could not expect from her. She even stored our luggage in her apartment while we visited the Amazon and unbelievably she even drove to our apartment to pick up our luggage and dropped it of again when we came back, without asking us anything. Loved the Farmer’s Market Tour! - I thoroughly enjoyed the Bogota farmer’s market tour with Alejandra! It was so much fun to walk around and try delicious coffee, epanadas and all the different amazing fruits . Plus, it was great to have a local experience! Alejandra was so friendly and knowledgeable - the tour was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! I’m only sorry that this was my last day in Bogota - I would have done another tour with her in a heartbeat!

Great experience / Increible experiencia - One of the best ways to know about the city and the market! The tour was amazing, with lots of information to catch and fruits to taste. It was fascinating for us to know the name and taste of the fruits and understand how to select them. If one goes early on the day, it is also possible to see some exotic flowers in the parking lot. The tour guides are welcoming and charming, always ensuring that you are having a great time during the trip. It was a great experience overall. El recorrido frece mucha information e incredible frutas para probar y conocer, no solo el nombre de las frutas pere tambien aprender como seleccionarlas.
