Really well-run and valuable tour of a dark place in history - A very moving tour that should be on everyone’s mind when they visit Munich. Our tour guide, Jamie, was excellent - he brought home the horrors of what occurred during the Nazi regime in a sensitive way, and his knowledge of the history of Dachau was impressive. I highly recommend this tour, including the 9am start - there weren’t many other visitors when we arrived, which made it easier to absorb everything. By the time we finished at 1pm it was getting pretty crowded.

A great tour - Jamie was an excellent guide with significant experience leading this tour. His passion for the history of this site was evident throughout the tour. He was able to answer every question and had additional information from the personal interactions he has had with survivors. My wife and I thought the guided tour was worth the extra money.

A tour everyone should do… - It was a somber topic but one everyone needs to see. Our guide Jamie was phenomenal. He was able to answer all the questions and was extremely pleasant as well.

A Must-Go That Will Change Your Life - If there’s one takeaway I can say, you don’t know how bad concentration camps were until you visit one. It is extremely morbid, and standing inside a gas chamber was one of the most mentally uncomfortable moments of my life. The deeper you go into the camp, the more chilling it gets. A woman in my tour group cried at one point and I do not blame her at all. But it really feels almost necessary to see this, and anyone who finds themselves near a camp should go. Our tour guide, Jake, did an amazing job. I would recommend taking a guided tour so you better understand the experience and can understand everything you see. Basically, go here if you are in the area, but be aware it will be a worse place than you think.
