Thrilling try this! - Talk about experience, I went to the one in San Diego since it is closer to me! This was the best experience I have ever done. I am a true believer of trying things once and I will definitely be trying this again with friends! I felt completely safe with my pilot. The safety debriefing was extremely detailed once we took off. I felt comfortable with the information given to me. Each maneuver was extremely fun. Felt like a roller coaster, the lounge for my family and friends was beautiful and relaxing! But they missed out on the real FUN, in the Sky! I’m a huge fan of top gun so this was the closest I can get to those Maneuvers in the sky!! I went July 4th24, awesome awesomeness! Please get the g force added with your flight to see if you can manage🤣 !’ Thank you Sky Combat in San Diego ✅

He is without a doubt a dedicated and passionate acrobatic pilot. We were so lucky to have him fly with us.

SOOOOO WORTH IT!! - Omg where do I begin??? This was such a great experience! I purchased my voucher on Groupon for the Operation Recon experience (as an fyi the operation recon experience only occurs in El Cajon and you don’t get to fly over San Diego or the beach, and do some extra tricks). The afterburner (I think that’s what it’s called), is about 45 minutes long and takes you to those areas. Anyhow, I took an Uber to el cajón (about 30 min from San Diego). Though I was worried about not having a signal to get back, there was great service out there and plenty of drivers available. Once I arrived, I waited for a solid 30-45 minutes because the pilot was late flying in from doing a Vegas experience. There was no signage letting you know you’re in the right place, and we had to wait outside. Once we were told to come in, we signed waivers and completed paperwork and a few other things. Aaron was our pilot for the day who was pretty awesome. He was patient with us and gave us a solid overview of what to expect. I got to wear the suit and chose my call name. I took pics in front of the plane prior to departure. The flight itself was amazing and had all the bells and whistles (although the description makes it seem fairly plain Jane), we did all types of flips and tricks (though I couldn’t tell my up from down sometimes). The G’s are a serious thing and aren’t for the faint of heart. I survived and didn’t pass out like many others have (check out their Instagram for some epic videos) of different experiences. I decided to purchase my videos I think it was $100 or so for the unedited versions since it was the cheapest option and I can chop it up how I wanted to. I have about 10-15 minutes of video from each direction (they put a go pro behind you inside the plane, on the tip of the wing, and in front of you inside the plane). This was such a great experience and I can’t wait to experience this again in utahhhhhhh!!! DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK! The price tag is a bit hefty but soooo worth it, especially for my adrenaline junkies, I SWEAR!!! Btw the pics don’t do it any justice, so go to their Instagram page to see what you’re in for!

Should be illegal! Too fun! - I did the Afterburner, with added aerobatics and extended flight. Overall, the experience was about what I expected, which is GOOD thing! I had read the reviews and was pretty pumped up, and the experience did not disappoint. After arrival and signing waivers and making payment, we went over safety procedures. My pilot was Will, and he explained how to eject and how to use the parachute. He also made it clear that safety is first and we did not plan on needing the 'chutes! Getting into the plane was a trip, it is a bit tight in there. I must say that I was not uncomfortable though. Seats are actually comfy, just getting in and out is a little tricky. I was a bit nervous but figured if old geezers and teenagers can do it, so can I! Flight aerobatics and maneuvers were a BLAST. Taking the stick is pretty amazing since a very small movement of the stick can translate to some pretty high G forces. You feel very powerful! However, it is up to you, you can fly as gently as you want, and you will be getting lots of support from the pilot, encouraging you and giving feedback. We did aileron spins, loops, barrel rolls, hammerheads, tailslides, tailspins (not inverted, that is where I drew the line!), and some sort of "tumbling" maneuver that sounded scary, and was trippy. The pilot takes their cues from you though, they won't do anything more than just what you want. Anyways, then we did some sightseeing. The San Diego bay was socked in with fog, so we went flying around some mountains. I swear I could reach out and touch them at times. We did "bombing run" and the pilot really when to great lengths to make it fun and exciting. Will said he was going to land "like a fighter pilot" and did a really tight turn on a dime to put us on the runway. Total flight was around 40 minutes I think. I was just starting to feel slightly queasy, but only very slightly. Overall, it was something I will never forget. I can't wait to see the vids.
Try this, and don't skim, get the extras. You won't regret it. If I get another bonus next year, I'm going again!
Don't forget to eat a medium sized meal maybe 1-2 hours before you go, and drink plenty fluids. it will cut down on any stomach issues.

Poor management but Good experience with flight - Flight Experience was good. Pilot was a great guy.
But felt cheated with the video package, the brochure said i will be getting thumb drive with videos after my experience for $300, after paying i realised they will take their own sweet time to mail. No thumb drive. Havent got videos yet. No one is picking up my calls from last 2 days.
Worst experience with management

Flying is fun, extras are not worth it. - I want to start off by saying that the actual flying is great, we loved it. I took my girlfriend to fly an airplane and she enjoyed it a lot. Where the mess comes from is the video service from them. I wanted it as a memory, I was ok with paying the the $300 price tag for it but when I received one of the two videos, it was poorly edited. It was less than 2 minutes and the video mostly consisted with an image that says “media offline” which indicates they didn’t properly edit the video in which you simply had to drag and drop the video to the software. Not to mention the the other video I paid for which they did not provide at all. $600 down the drain. I disputed the charge after trying to get someone to help me out. After failure to receive any help, I gave up. I just want to warn people so that you don’t have to go through the same hassle I did. Enjoy your flight!
