Begin the trip to Essaouira; the former Mogador built on a rocky peninsula. Its ramparts in a vigil on the ocean, its medina in white and blue tones, its busy port and its long sandy beaches.
Understand the history of Essaouira, which dates back to the 8th century BC. The Phoenicians stopped there on the road of the equator. The real founder of the city was the Alaouite Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, who entrusted the construction to Theodore Cornut, architect and student of Vauban Essaouira is now a nice little fishing port very lively at the arrival of the boats where sardines and crustaceans are sold at the auction. Walk along the ramparts taking the street that leads to the Sqala of the Kasbah, where the famous guns of Essaouira line up. This place was chosen by Orson Welles to turn the exterior sets of his Othello.
At the heart of the Kasbah, go to the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, the mirror and the collective memory of the province of Essaouira. Explore the ritual or profane musical instruments of the Aissaoua, Hamadcha and Gnaoua brotherhoods. Every year in June, the world-renowned Gnaoua Festival of Essaouira.
Later, return to your accommodation in Casablance to conclude the tour.

Wish I Had a Longer Stay! - Mohammed planned an fun filled trip from Marrakech to Essaouira! On the way there were laughs with goats in trees and a camel ride! Then onto the beautiful coast on the other side of our shared ocean. Sunsets, blue fishing boats, giant seagulls (lol) and breathtaking architecture and culture. One highlight was watching Morocco play in the W.Cup on a giant screen in the square w/hundreds of fans! Shukran Mohammed!

Perfect day trip and good driving. - Great day trip from casablanca to essaouira, driver was helpful and at time, he stopped for us in nice places on the road like argan cooperative, also our guide Majid helped us and make it easy to discover well the essaouira city.
