Highlights
  • Florence - Pick-up and departure.

  • Fattoria di Luiano - Luiano has been producing wine and olive oil since the 9th century. The estate has belonged to famous families from Florence, including the Strozzi. In 1959 the Palombo family took the ownership of the business and abandoned the mixed agricultural system. Their focus on cultivating solely vines helped them achieve wine of the highest quality. Sangiovese grape represents the largest portion of grape variety planted on their territory. The long-lasting tradition of winemaking is attested by ancient cellars built during the Renaissance. Here you will tour the property, vineyard and wine cellars in which vinification takes place and wines are displayed. Afterwards, you will enjoy a Chianti-based wine tasting with a view.

  • Savignola Paolina - Savignola is a boutique winery, located in the heart of Chianti Classico since 1780, with a vineyard area of
5 hectares and an annual production of about 22,000 bottles. Savignola, whose name has Etruscan origins, was regarded as a Christian settlement and was built around the first half of the 17th century. Marked by an all-female history, it is considered one of the historic companies of the area thanks to the figure of Paolina, who was the first woman to bottle her Riserva in a Bordeaux style bottle. She brought innovation to the historical tradition of Chianti Classico. The ancient barrel cellar of the estate dates back to the 1500s where tradition and innovation come together in the production of their wine. The terroir is made up of deep clay and chalky soil and requires rigorous work to create the perfect conditions for obtaining rich, intense and long-lived wines.

  • Famiglia Nunzi Conti - Tenuta Villa Barberino - The last winery of the day has a vibrant history. It is a family-run winery that first started its production in 2012, which can be perceived in the lively character specific to young wines. But the history of the estate dates back to the end of the 1800s, when the founder Gualtiero managed to buy the first vineyards in Mercatale Val di Pesa. Upon his death, one of his sons came with a new vision, planted new vineyards, bought new land and a fifteenth-century villa, which became the centerpiece of the property.

The estate is located in the area of Chianti Classico Fiorentino and comprises vineyards, olive groves and forests. The varieties of grapes are typical of the territory, such as Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo but also international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine cellars used in the 1400s were renovated to meet the needs of modern winemaking. In addition, a barn dating back to the 18th century has been restructured to serve as a wine cellar.

  • Florence - Drop-off. The tour will generally end where it started.

Best Birthday Ever! - Paola and Daria were so welcoming! They both were very knowledgeable of the wine and held a great conversation. I took my mother for her 60th birthday and they made sure to make it special. All three wineries were unique and had delicious wine and olive oil. The lunch was better than expected and kept us full. We even got to try red wine gelato! The views were straight out of a movie. Just how you imagine Florence/Tuscany. We highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed!

A must do! Ask for Fabio - Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the Tuscany wine country to it’s fullest. Our guide, Fabio, was an absolute pleasure. It was VIP service from start to finish. The level of service and overall detail that went into the full day does not go unnoticed. Thank you for the memorial time!

The highlight of our entire Honeymoon! Angel is amazing and still talk about this day 2 years later. - Angel was an AMAZING guide that made the tour so much fun, while providing endless amounts of information. Would recommend this to anyone going to Florence, or visiting near there. My husband and I booked this private tour with very little knowledge of wine and left with a new appreciation of wine, especially that comes from the Chianti region. We talk all the time about doing this same thing again, if and when we travel back to Florence!

Making a Dreary Day Shine! - An unusually cloudy, cool, and windy day was made very warm and memorable by Angel and the host wineries. The countryside's beauty and outstanding wineries spoke for themselves, but Angel enhanced the experience with his friendly sharing of knowledge and personal experiences. Many thanks to Angel and the wineries for a day we will remember fondly. We will definitely book another tour with Angel if the opportunity presents itself - maybe the sun will make an appearance next time (not that it's needed).

The tour was well curated and we visited vastly different wineries which gave us a well-rounded experience of the region. Wonderful experience - Fabio was terrific! We learned a lot and had so much fun the whole day. All three vineyards were unique, educational, & beautiful in their own ways. We’ve gotten most of the wine, olive oil, and vinegar we shipped but are still waiting on some. Just be prepared to receive that a couple months later.

Amazing Chianti Couples Tour! - My husband and I decided to do a private chianti tour with Enotropea Tours and it turned out to be the most memorable and romantic part of our trip. Fabian picked us up from our hotel (his extensive knowledge of Florence and Tuscany and sense of humor kept us laughing throughout our trip between the wineries). Our first stop - undoubtedly our favorite, was the Carobbio winery where we learned all about how wines are made with a friendly and experienced sommelier. Our second stop was the Luiano winery with enchanting views of the Chianti region and a delicious lunch. Finally our last stop was Tenuta Villa Barberino with an authentic wine presentation where we got to buy some unique balsamic vinegar produced there. We definitely recommend Fabian and his company for a most memorable experience!

Wonderful tour. - Amazing experience and one of our main highlights during a recent Italy trip at the end of August! If you’re looking for a great private experience this is it. We had Angel as our guide who has amazing experience. His knowledge was outstanding and educational for us. Local small wineries. We learned a lot, tasted amazing wines and had amazing food overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The tour was definitely worth the money. Angel and all the wineries families we met were super friendly, attentive and spend as much time as we wanted with us. We can’t recommend the tour highly enough.
