Highly recommended day trip to Luxor! - We - a married couple with a 15-year-old daughter - booked a private day trip to Hurghada with a driver and our own German-speaking tour guide in a spacious SUV through the highly recommended company 'Get Taxi Hurghada' (boss Mina Adel - also recommended for airport transfers to/from Hurghada etc.). The day started early (departure from the hotel at 5:30 a.m.) and we returned around 8 p.m. Program: Luxor Karnak, lunch in a local buffet restaurant on the Nile, motorboat ride across the Nile, Memnon Colossi, Valley of the Kings with a visit to three tombs (and optionally the tomb with the mummy of Tutankhamun for 10 euros per person) and the mortuary temple of the pharaoh Hatshepsut. Travel time to Luxor approx. 4 1/2 hours, total cost for three people 290 euros (!). Very compact tour, but easily bearable in a new spacious SUV with air conditioning and chilled drinks (included).

Bad communication... - The only positive things were the experiences, the nice driver and the excellent tour guide, who ultimately helped us to optimize the tour. Extremely negative and unacceptable was the lack of clear communication between the countless "intermediate managers" and also from TripAdvisor. For example, the tour had to be postponed by a day because neither the driver nor the first manager had any knowledge of the tour. There were also discussions about the scope. The sailing tour was not provided... Booking on site or on another platform is preferable.
