Via dei Cofferi, 12 - Truffle hunting on our property is a unique experience that must be absolutely tried if you are in our area! The day starts in the morning at 10:30 in spring (a little earlier in summer to avoid excessive heat) together with the “truffle hunter”, a professional who, together with his inseparable Lagotto from Romagna with an exceptional nose for truffles, he will take you to the woods of the property in search of the precious and very fragrant truffle. You will be in direct contact with nature for about 45 minutes, actively participating in the search for the “black gold” and learning many things about this ancient activity that has been taking place in Tuscany for hundreds of years.
Then in the mid-morning returning to the farm you will learn how to make fresh pasta (tagliatelle) which will be served to you for lunch.
Lunch will be served on the splendid terrace overlooking the vineyards and our olive grove: you can relax and enjoy our homemade lunch!

The best day ever!!! - We are a family of 7 and we have all said Cofferi 1242 truffle hunting and cooking was one of the most special experiences we have ever done as a family. The setting is exquisite, Fabrizio and his family make the whole day so special. The food is delicious too. It is a must if you visit the Florence area of Tuscany!!

An absolute must do! - We had the best time. Such a different experience going truffle hunting with the gorgeous puppy Joy. Fabrizio, Camilla and Niccolo were so accommodating to us as we are vegetarian, the food was incredible and so delicious and the pasta making was very fun. We got to eat with the most incredible view of the Tuscan hills. Unbelievable value for money!

An Absolutely Amazing Experience - A Must-Do! - I cannot recommend Cofferi’s 1242 Hours Truffle Hunting with Pasta Cooking Class and Lunch highly enough! It was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The day began with a fascinating truffle hunt, guided by Joy, the most adorable and skilled dog. Watching her in action was such a unique and captivating part of the experience.
After the hunt, we joined a cooking class led by Fabrizio, a member of the family that runs this charming business. He taught us how to make pasta from scratch, sharing his expertise and passion in a way that made the whole process so enjoyable. It felt special to learn from someone so devoted to their craft.
The highlight, though, was the incredible lunch that followed. They prepared an amazing platter of food using the fresh pasta we had made, accompanied by truffles from our hunt. As vegetarians, we were thrilled by how accommodating they were, ensuring that every dish suited our dietary preferences without compromising on flavour or variety. The food was absolutely outstanding – the best I’ve ever had! The variety, the taste, and the presentation were all top-notch, and there was so much to enjoy.
What made it all even more special was the stunning view overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. Sitting there, enjoying this incredible meal with such a breathtaking backdrop, was unforgettable.
Cofferi is a family-run business, and their warmth and hospitality shine through in every aspect of the experience. The location was easy to access, making the day stress-free and relaxed. Before leaving, we also picked up some wonderful products from their charming little shop to take a bit of the experience home with us.
If you’re looking for a unique, hands-on culinary adventure with exceptional food, stunning views, and a truly welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect experience. We had the best time and would recommend it to everyone!

Amazing - Such an amazing experience, we got to meet so many wonderful people, from all over the world, while truly diving into those Tuscan sceneries, enjoying great wine (also made by the host family) and amazing food. They were so welcoming and kind and went out of their way to make our experience unique and remarkable, so that we could just relax and have fun laughing for almost 7 hours straight. I totally recommend this experience!

An unforgettable day! - This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Fabrizio & Camilla and their son Niccolo were AMAZING hosts and did everything possible to make us feel welcome and well fed! Their home and farm is absolutely breathtaking! Gianmarco and his adorable dog Tabu taught us the art of finding truffles and we found more than expected. My son’s ages 17, 14, and 11 all enjoyed hiking through the woods and learning about hunting for truffles. Then we went back to the farm and had our pasta lesson and a DELICIOUS lunch which included their olive oil and wine! I can’t recommend Cofferi 1242 enough!!

An Unforgettable Experience Truffle Hunting in Tuscany - Although it happened to be raining when we visited, this experience was truly unforgettable. The team at Cofferi 1242, Gianmarco and his remarkable dog found so many truffles with minimal walking into the wooded area. Watching the dog work was a joy and then getting to eat some truffles with our lunch was extra special. Be sure to ask the family there about their remarkable story, all of the amazing things they grow, and animals they have at their beautiful farm.

The highlight of our time in Tuscany! - We recently spent part of our honeymoon in Tuscany at the end of May and the truffle hunting and pasta cooking class experience was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, we cannot say enough positive things about our experience! Gian Marco (& Tabu!!) provided the best truffle hunting experience - we learned so much! The pasta making class with Fabrizzio was excellent. We learned to make our own tagliatelle and were served a ton of delicious food and wine to accompany it, you will not leave hungry! The tour says 3 hours but would plan on at least 4-5 to accommodate enjoying lunch, the views, etc. In addition to Fabrizzio & Camilla being the most wonderful people, the property itself is stunning. Would definitely recommend adding as something to do on your trip if you are staying nearby in Tuscany!

Best experience during our holiday trip! - This was by no doubt the best experience of our Italy holiday this year. The ‘tour’ is way more extensive than described here. We started of with the truffle hunt in which we could also bring our dog (the truffle hunt dog was super nice). Afterwards, we had a small cooking class in which the owner learned us how to make our own tagliatelle. Before eating the best truffle pasta we’ve got so far (from our own made tagliatelle), they served us a delicious platter. After the pasta, the lunch was topped of with another self-made dessert.
If you are looking for an amazing Italian experience, don’t hesitate going here!

Once in a lifetime experience! - We joined the truffle hunting + pasta making class and it is definitely the highlight of our Tuscany trip! The view at the farm was breathtaking. The truffle hunt experience was very eye opening, we got a bunch of Bianchetto truffles!! Making our own pasta and having lunch with this amazing view - we just couldn’t ask for more. The hosts are super duper nice, showed great hospitality and we are definitely coming back if we visit Tuscany again. Highly recommend!!!
