Auschwitz and Birkenau - Our guide Michal was very good and ensure that we went in very quickly and smoothly to the Auschwitz and Birkenau and also ensure that we had enough time to take a quick bite for lunch. He even sent us back to our apartment after the visit.

A sobering and important visit - A sobering and important visit to a place where the unthinkable happened. Cracow Local Tours did an excellent job in transporting us from Krakow to Auschwitz-Birkenau and back, with an excellent English speaking translator who provided the tour in collaboration with the Polish museum guide. The tour company provided excellent communication in the lead-up to the tour date and provided a good 'lunch bag' (for a reasonable additional cost) as the museum restaurant was closed for construction work.

Friendly driver and experienced tour guide. A must do when visiting Krakow. - Easy pick up with no issues. We got driven to the first camp where we met our guide who gave us a very in depth and harrowing account of the events at the concentration camp. A moving experience that everyone need to do when in southern Poland.

Very frivolous - We were going on a trip with a family of 7 people. Have booked a trip well in advance. Two days before we were due to travel, we received an email saying that the trip was canceled because there were not enough guides. Very frivolous.

AVOID THIS TOUR LIKE THE PLAGUE. THE RATING WOULD BE 0 OUT OF 5 BUT THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE. - We were a party of 4 in Krakow for 4 nights and one of the main reasons for going was to visit Auschwitz. To ensure we got on a trip we booked the tour well in advance of our visit (19th Feb for a visit on 17th April). Everything was fine till 4pm on the 16th April when we got a message saying the tour was cancelled due to lack of translators. As the trip was cancelled very late on the day before we were going there was no chance to book an alternative which spoiled our trip as we could not get to see the camp. I find it difficult to accept the cancellation was due to lack of translators as surely if this was the case this would have been know well before 4pm on the day before we went. I think it is more likely that it was cancelled due to a lack of interest.
