Highlights
  • Valley of the Queens - Your Reflections Private Tour Guide will escort you from your accommodation or Nile Cruise in an air-conditioned vehicle to explore four remarkable sites on Luxor’s west bank. The journey begins with the Valley of the Queens, home to over 75 tombs, including the renowned Tomb of Queen Nefertari, the resting places of 19th and 20th dynasty queens, and other royal family members.
  • Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Next, you’ll visit the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple erected by Ramses II between 1304-1207 B.C, dedicated to the sun god Ra.
  • Howard Carter House - Continue to the Howard Carter House, the former residence of the celebrated English Egyptologist. This mud-brick domed building has been transformed into a museum showcasing photographs of excavations, Carter’s original surveying instruments, and the laboratory where he spent years searching for Tutankhamun. The garden outside features an exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber, including the sarcophagus.
  • Temple of Seti I - The tour concludes at the Temple of Seti I, a structure renowned for its intricate architecture and elaborate decorations, including images of Egyptian gods and extensive hieroglyphic inscriptions. After completing your tour, you will be taken back to your Hotel/Nile Cruise.

Expensive tour but with a brilliant guide - We had a tour of the Valley of the Queens, Ramesseum, Temple of Seti I and Howard Carter’s House. These sites are not very popular and there were very few tourists there - so that was enjoyable. The car provided was new and comfortable and the driver Youssuf was good. The best part was our guide Waleed - a trained Egyptologist who truly knew the history, the meaning of hieroglyphics and wholeheartedly enjoyed to explain the details of various sites. We had a wonderful time thanks to Waleed!

Amazing architecture - Roshdy picked us up on time and we went to the Valley of the Queens first. He gave us in depth explanations of the tombs before we were able to go in and look for ourselves. We paid the extra for Nefertiti Tomb and it was well worth it, absolutely beautiful. The Ramesseum was large with lots to look at and again the explanations were a good combination of detailed and concise. The temple of Seti was being restored but was still a really nice site. Finally we were taken to an artisinal shop to see how the traditional sculptures were made and given a drink and opportunity to buy souvenirs. There was an ATM outside which was useful. Roshdy was an excellent and clear guide and we had a great time.

Great guide great sight great trip - The nice and knowledgeable guide made this trip absolutely recommendable for everyone. Having a private guide allowed to go at our pace and have an extensive chat about everything we wanted to know. The valley of the queens seemed even more interesting than the valley of kings and I really recommend it.

Fun trip! Two thumbs up for Tombs of the Nobles and Youssef! - We stayed for 4 full days in Luxor and used this trip to supplement some of the other, more essential tours. The temples were interesting and certainly worth seeing, but we were pretty fascinated with the Carter House. Instead of seeing the Valley of the Queens, our tour guide recommended that we see the Tombs of the Nobles. We think this was a great decision, as we were able to visit two tombs that were fabulous. Both had excellent colors and were in great condition. It is a bit of a hike up to these tomb entrances, but well worth it! Our tour guide, Youssef, was wonderful and very flexible. He adapted well to our wishes to not repeat the entire history of ancient Egypt (since we had heard it 4-5 times by then) and to focus mainly on the things that we were seeing that day. He was flexibile and helped us make the most out of this tour. Thanks Youssef!

An experience - It was a good tour and I did enjoy most of it but I feel the tour should add to their page is Nefertari tomb is 1400 Egyptian pounds. My tour guide went up and above to pay for it and allowing me to pay him back later. But towards the end of the tour it just felt like he was getting upset because every atm was not working and it was making me upset because I felt like maybe he thought I wasn’t going to give him his money back. There was an atm at my hotel but he just said that maybe it wouldn’t work and didn’t even bother trying. So I do recommend this tour and I would have given it five stars if it was not for this incident and the feeling I got towards the end. I know this was on me for not doing my research and hopefully anyone who takes this tour does bring enough money to view Nefertari tomb. It is worth the money if you love Ancient Egypt and viewing her gorgeous tomb.
