Tour Highlights:
Undeniably, the sea stacks at San Josef Bay are an awe-inspiring sight to behold. These sea stacks are among the few marine-weathered stacks on Vancouver Island, and undoubtedly, the most dramatic. The force of water, driving through sandy corridors at high tide, has gradually worn away the softer stone, leaving only the resilient…

Most gorgeous beach on the island - Cove adventures made this experience unforgettable. Not only did they get myself and my husband to and from San Joseph safely. But knew so much information about the area. We truly enjoyed our time, captured my memories with lots of photos to take home. 5 stars all the way!

Totally worth it - What a tour!! I am glad I didn't go by myself. Not the easiest destination to reach. But our tour guide was fantastic in every sense. He told us about the history, geography, local culture, etc. of the place. Finally, after the drive and hike, the beach was phenomenal.

Perfect way to visit this gorgeous spot. - We had an amazing day led by Brooks and June. Us tackling the drive in ourselves in our rental car would have been foolish. We dressed for the drizzle and were rewarded with clear weather when we arrived at gorgeous San Josef Bay. This ranks as one of the favourite excursions we’ve ever done. The sandwiches were yummy too. Thank you! Carrie & Mark Sweeney, Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada

Hike To San Josef Bay - We loved our tour to San Josef Bay, highlight of our North Island roadtrip without a doubt! The beauty speaks for itself, Chris was fantastic company and so knowledgable about the area. We were even lucky enough to spot bear prints on the beach, and track him down! Highly recommend, you won't regret it!

Views and wildlife…. - We had a fantastic day at (and on the way to) San Josef Bay. Chris is a very knowledgeable guy with a lot of interesting and/or funny stories to tell. Aside from San Josef we saw Osprey, Bald headed eagle, Black Bears and Elk. It was a wonderful day. (And the sandwiches….)

Beautiful San Josef Bay - Booking the tour to San Josef Bay through Cove was a great decision. The road there is an adventure in itself so it was good to have someone else drive. Hiking from the parking lot to the bay was beautiful, peaceful and easy but nothing compared to the beauty of San Josef Bay itself. Our guide June felt like a friend by the end of the day. She is very knowledgeable about the area and makes the best sandwiches! Thank you for a great day.

Beautiful west coast adventure - A fabulous tour of forest and beach. Timing was excellent with the tide going out. Sea stacks and cave were fantastic. June our guide was informative and answered all our questions. An excellent sandwich lunch. Trail is an easy walk. Approximately 15000 steps for the full hike out and back.

A hike to remember ! - Just a great day out with Brookes whose love and passion for his world as well as his humour shone through the day. The tough logging roads were no issue for the van (would avoid taking your hire car down them!) and we saw interesting sites on the way to a stunning beach that feels like it is at the end of the world, and all the better for it. A stunning highlight was watching a bear and her two cubs playing just across the river but even without this chance encounter I couldn’t recommend this highly enough. Five stars doesn’t do it justice.

San Josef Bay - One needs to remember that Cape Scott is remote. San Josef Bay definitely is one beach you can walk to in the park without too much worry or equipment. I personally found San Josef Bay too crowded with walk in's and decided not to overnight there. Just didn't feel safe leaving my backpack on the beach. One must also consider the drive up island on unpaved rutted roads a consideration.
