Amazing! - What a great and memorable day! Despite a severe rain warning in Munich, I have to say I had an awesome time. Tyler and Carina were amazing - giving me a rain poncho when I didn’t have one, and lending me a jacket when I was freezing cold in the mountains. They both provided great tips and insight about the tour and the city. Great experience and a highlight of my Europe trip.

Castle, bike and beer in Bavaria - Tyler was our guide and tour facilitator for our tour- first, he made sure the weather cooperated beautifully for us to have a sunny, spring-cool day. His “dad” humor wasn’t lost on me- he had me cracking up from the get go. I really liked how easy going but self assured in his role as the director of the tour. He was flexible. His main objective ( other than safety) was his clients having a memorable time enjoying the beautiful outdoors riding around swan lake. After lunch, we began our trek to the castle. The day was tapped off with the weather holding until we entered the bus for the return trip to Munich. The clouds let loose with rain, but we enjoyed a picture perfect day. Tyler and his crew made this excursion very special and a memory we will enjoy a lifetime.

Fun full day of touring 2 castles - We highly recommend this tour. We selected to tour the Hohenschwangau Castle instead of doing the bike ride, and were very happy with our choice. Our tour guide while on the bus and hiking up to Neuschwanstein was Tyler and we really enjoyed his historical knowledge. He kept the group together and organized, which was nice since we packed a lot into one day! The scenery out the bus window was beautiful.

Worth the trip - Tyler was the BEST! He was humorous, very informative, and passionate about the tour. The bike ride was wonderful with the most beautiful field of mixed colored wildflowers I’ve ever seen. The land and castle are beautiful and very worth taking the trip to see. Tyler and his crew made the entire experience wonderful from the start.

Awesome day in Bavaria - Fantastic and tailored tour! Absolutely would recommend! Love that we could opt in and out of many elements like biking, swimming, and hiking. Our guide was Tyler and he was super knowledgeable, fun, and made a point to give us opportunities to see and do extras along the way—always pointing out the best spots for photos and snack booths. There were two solo travelers in the group and he made sure they were comfortable and pulled them into the group with ease.

Fulfilling Day! Highly Recommend! - We loved this excursion. The bike ride was pretty, with great views, and plenty of stops for photos. Ride was flat and easy. We were on the bikes about 90 minutes including stops. Bikes were nice. We had about 80 minutes for lunch. Food was very good and you sit outside on a covered patio. The hike to Mary’s Bridge was steep but our group did it in less than 20 minutes. Know that once you get there you likely will have to wait in a long line (45 minutes) to go out on the bridge but it is totally worth it! Next it is a short hike over to the castle. The guided castle tour is about 25-30 minutes (you cannot take photos). You can take spectacular photos from the castle balcony after the tour. Our tour team of Tyler, Karina, Nazar, and Eugene (bus driver) from Mike’ Bike Shop was fantastic! Tyler was very knowledgeable in his narration throughout the day. Make sure you have plenty of Euros for the castle tour, snacks and drinks, and tipping.

Can’t imagine a better way to see the castle - I can’t imagine a better way to see the castle. Our guide Tyler gave us information not included in the state tour and it enriched the experience significantly. We got to enjoy a bike ride to take in the gorgeous landscape and even a lake visit with a surprise opportunity to swim! Our assistant guide Karina was warm and hospitable. Assistant guide Nassar was at the ready to keep us safe from crossroad traffic and protect us from potentially swans :) All our guides were multinational/multicultural and the information they shared really enriched our amazing experience. Don’t miss this tour!

Amazing Day Touring Neuschwanstein - Our visit to Neuschwanstein Castle with Tyler was awesome! Tyler was able to provide so much history and the bike tour around the castle was beautiful. We got lucky with a small group of 7 and Tyler took us to extra / different spots we wouldn’t normally be able to do with a larger group. I cannot wait to recommend this tour to friends who are traveling to Germany later this year.

10/10 recommend. - A co-worker of mine recommended Mike’s Bike Tours and my husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better tour. We met at the shop early (very easy to find) and walked briefly to our transportation to neuschwanstein castle. To my surprise, our guide Tyler gave some history and facts about Munich as we left the city and headed towards the highway which was a nice bonus. He also gave facts as we got closer to the castle. While on the van we were able to pay (in cash/euros) if we opted to take the castle tour. Our guide also provided the lunch menu and took our orders. This was great because when it was time for lunch at the restaurant, the food came quite fast. The food was good and affordable. We got lucky with a picture perfect day and a smaller group which meant a little extra time to bike around and take in the beautiful scenery. The hike up to the castle is pretty tough but it’s nice that there is an option to take a bus for a small fee if you opt out of the hike. Tyler did a great job making sure there was no wasted time. If we got done seeing Mary’s Bridge (Marienbrucke) early he quickly told us what other places we could walk to for great picture spots and sightseeing. The tour inside the castle is pretty brief and done by another party, it was nothing amazing. My husband and I agreed that the tour and hiking done on the outside was the highlight. It was a super long day but felt worth it and the other guides with us were also great and made for an awesome experience. 10/10 recommend.
