Perfect authentic Greek experience - The cooking class was our favorite activity while visiting Naxos. Anna is a perfect hostess who combined knowledge and history along with a delightful sense of humor. The atmosphere was clean and charming. The food was delicious and completely authentic. And there was dancing and plate throwing to end a perfect evening. Count on 5 hours.

This Class is Amazing! - The class was amazing and. Anna was an incredible teacher! It is at a family run farm where Anna takes you to pick the vegetables and fresh parsley and dill. We learned all about how things are done and it was a hands on class. We loved meeting her wonderful parents as well. I highly, highly recommend this class! We loved it!

BEST experience of our trip to Greece - Anna is a special person who has a way of making her guests feel like family. She guided us around her farm and had us fill our baskets with vegetables as she taught us about the farm. We also met farm animals, including Penelope the adorable donkey. Anna is a primary teacher, and her teaching skills helped her keep all of us on task as she taught us how to prepare the food for dinner, while we ate lovely snacks and drank wine made from their grapes. We learned about Greek cooking methods, cored and stuffed the veggies with rice, made tzatziki sauce and learned about “spoon sweets”…but the reason it was all so enjoyable was because of Anna’s personality and friendly demeanor. We enjoyed the company of others in our group and the meal we prepared was delicious. Wine flowed all evening and after inner many of us enjoyed dancing. This cooking class at Basiliko was our favorite adventure of the entire trip to Greece. Just do it!!!!

One of the best memories we made on our trip. I can’t believe anyone would give this less than five stars. - How anyone could give this anything but five stars is beyond me. Anna is such an interesting person. She is a teacher during the day. She’s also a principal and a janitor. She has a fascinating story about how she came to be teaching these classes. You must ask her. You must also ask her about any funny stories she has had along the way. Ask her about Bob. I was set for us to be the only couple in the class, but when we arrived, there were so many fun people. There was a young couple from Iceland. They really were the life of the party; then there was another foursome, two sets of couples from Kentucky and North Carolina. I could not believe how famously our group got along. Everybody was laughing and toasting and talking from the minute we sat down together. we picked our vegetables, and then we went on a long walk through the most fascinating area with ancient buildings while Anna’s mother cooked the meal. When were you returned there was a massive spread of food much more than we had picked. Just be alert that Google maps doesn’t work perfectly and that there are some steep driveways. Don’t drink too much and try to drive home. All along there was wine. Wine that is orange because of the skins not because it’s made from oranges. After dinner the dancing started and so did that plate breaking and the memory making. this was such a wonderful part of our trip. I cannot believe anyone would give this a poor review.

Farm To table cooking class - This was a highlight for us on Naxos. The experience was amazing. The food was unreal. And the overall atmosphere and feeling like you’re in someone’s home for dinner was great. I would highly recommend this.

So fun! A highlight of our trip. - We had the best time with Anna and her family—they were one of the highlights of our time in Hellas. What an absolutely gorgeous place with great people. Food and wine were incredible too. 10/10 recommend when spending time in Naxos.

Magical and Delicious Cooking Class - This was one of my most favorite activities that we did as a family with adult children during our stay in Greece. We learned so much from the cooking class and enjoyed going to the garden to pick the vegetables to prepare for our feast. After we prepared the food to go into the oven, they took us on a short hike and told us some of the local history. We then returned back to a table full of delicious food and wine. But the evening wasn’t over, they turned on the music and taught us to Greek line dance, so festive. This was truly a magical evening and will stay in our memories forever. Thank you Annette

Great experience! - Great birthday experience! The host and hostess are welcoming and very accommodating. The taxi driver dropped us off at the top of the hill. The destination is located at the bottom of a steep winding path. Too difficult for my elderly friends. At the end of the event a taxis picked us up at the home. Thank goodness. The food was great-music and dancing in the end with a surprise plate process. Unfortunately, the wine wasn’t good. Overall, I highly recommend this cooking experience in this isolated location. ❤️

Super fun day! - This was an absolutely fantastic experience! Anna, Tasso and Mama were incredibly gracious hosts. We arranged private transportation from our hotel (which was super easy) as we weren't sure how to get there. Once we arrived, we were greeted with some homemade wine and then we were able to pick our own food from the garden and enjoy working as a team to prepare the dishes. While our food was cooking, we did a small tour of the grounds talked a bit about Greek mythology. After dinner we had a small lesson in greek dancing and enjoyed an after dinner drink. Was a highlight to my trip!
