Although there are several walking tours exploring the scandalous past of Newport, our tour is unique in providing you the chance to visit all the significant historical sites in an air-conditioned van. This method enables us to cover a wider range of historical sites in less time compared to a walking tour. From your cozy seat, you’ll be chauffeured from one site to another, diving into the fascinating history of each location, its ties to the mafia, illegal gambling, bootlegging and prostitution, giving Newport the notorious reputation as ‘the southern sin city’. At each stop, you’ll get a chance to get off the van and delve into some individual exploration, with your guide at your side to clear any queries you may have.

All tours will meet on the sidewalk in front of the Wooden Cask Brewery on York Street. Check-in 5 minutes prior to your tour departure time. Park in the lot across the street from the Wooden Cask Brewery. Please do not park in the brewery parking lot unless you intend to patronize the brewery.

Mobster tales and places - The sites of the former clubs were well explained by Chris and the accompanying booklet with old pictures, postcards and stories really enhanced the tour. I highly recommend this if you love history and the period of prohibition and the tales of gangsters.

The Mobster Tour was great! - We had a wonderful time on the Sin City Mobster Tour. Chris, our guide, was very knowledgeable and made our experience very interesting. It was great traveling in a van. We were able to see much more than if we were on a walking tour.

A Great Tour - A Must Do! - We just came in for the weekend, looking to see what Newport Kentucky is all about! We had no idea that it was about the history of organized, crime, casinos, brothels…..and some really good history along the Ohio river! So, we decided to book this tour because we wanted to see the entire city in a couple hours. I’m sure glad we did, Chris did an amazing job for us! Chris was the owner too! He will give you a guide to follow along with as he does the tour! The entire tour, you are in an air-conditioned van, so if it’s hot, you don’t have to walk very far and pretty much drives up to every single hotspot on the tour and talks about it in detail! You will leave with a great understanding of the underground history of Newport KY! We had an amazing time! Well worth the money!
