Insightful and important - Such an insightful and informative tour about such a tragic and important topic. Our guide Baboon was amazing, he shared so much information with us including personal anecdotes about his own family and was open to answering everyone’s questions. Would highly recommend.

Very eye-opening tour - I strongly recommend this tour to anyone in Phnom Penh. It is incredibly informative - Sum Cheath was the guide for our tour and he was absolutely wonderful! Throughout the tour, you will learn about Cambodia and its darkest time in which millions of innocent lives were tragically lost as a result of genocide committed by Pol Pot and his lieutenants.

A good guide is the BEST way to understand the Killing Fields and S-21 Prison - Mr Baboon and Mr "Ice T", our driver, were fantastic. Mr Baboon sharing the personal story of his mother's experience during the Khmer Rouge added so much to our understanding of what it was like to try to survive under the regime. His English was great, and he managed to keep a sense of humor despite the horrific subject of the tour. The signage at the Killing Fields and the S-21 prison isn't great, so having a guide was key to appreciating the horrors that happened. At the end of the tour, Mr Baboon also shared some tips for negotiating with tuk tuk drivers (and warned us of the dangers of the super cheap massage places), as well as a recommendation for a very good restaurant close by to the hotels the guests were staying at (Kabbas restaurant). I would 100% recommend this tour if you want to understand what you're seeing at both destinations.

Vote 1: Visal For Your Tour Guide - This was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Visal was brilliant. My wife, Leigh, can’t often understand English, being from Scotland, but she loved Visal’s English and easily understood everything. She used to being waited on - so loved the added touch of having a bottle of water delivered to her seat (twice). Loved the experience. Highly recommend.

Historical place - A deep look into the dark history of Cambodia. The entrance fee was US$5 and if you would like a radio guide, it would be another US$5. It was reasonable in my opinion. Personally, I really don’t think this is a site to visit for families or kids as the atmosphere is rather depressing. They showed how this place was originally a school, used by the regime to interrogate political enemies and many have died here. The setup and artifacts were all real. It would take around 1.5-2hrs to finish visiting this place. For history lovers, this is a must-visit place but do take note that exhibits can be rather intimidating and depressing like a room filled with skulls of past victims.
