Highlights
  • Thingvellir National Park - One of the most interesting locations in Iceland due to its geological and historical importance. It holds the meeting of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, but also this place was chosen to celebrate the general assembly, this is where Iceland’s parliament was founded in 930 A.D.
  • Oxararfoss - Even though this beautiful waterfall is not one of the biggest in the country, it is one of the Icelandic people’s most well-loved waterfalls due to its location and for its historical significance
  • Geysir - Geysir geothermal area is quite stunning where you witness the geyser Strokkur erupts every five minutes.
  • Gullfoss Waterfall - The thundering Gullfoss waterfall tops many lists as a powerful and hypnotizing natural phenomenon
  • Fridheimar - After having lunch (not included) at this tomato farm, we will gain an insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture, with a short and informative talk on the subject.
Also, Friðheimar breeds Icelandic horses, so we will be able to see and pet a couple of them.

(Please note that during the summer season we can not guarantee a table reservation for lunch)

A great way to see the Golden Circle - A great way to see several highlights of Iceland in a single day. The tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. He even squeezed in unscheduled visits to a third waterfall and a stop to pet an Icelandic horse. The small group format was much nicer than the large tour buses, we spent a lot less time waiting to unload and load and spent more time at the locations. Highly recommend!

Fab day out - Golden Circle - The one and only, Leroy, was our guide. He was brilliant: a great driver, full of interesting facts & information about Iceland (history, geology & socially) and had great taste in music! We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, tomato farm & Secret Lagoon. The bus stop pick-up sounds a bit confusing but all the companies use them so don't let this put you off. The bus stop near to our hotel was always very busy but EastWest had sent an email detailing the make, colour and registration of our minibus (plus the guide's name), which was so useful as we knew what to look out for. We would definitely recommend EastWest.

An unforgettable day - Unforgettable day. Everything about the day was amazing. Halle, our guide, was friendly, personable, good fun and very informative. It is clear that he he loves his country and loves to show people the place that he loves. He also made the trip feel very personal as he included information and stories about his own family and friends. Each site we visited was simply stunning, Iceland is just incredible. I would not hesitate to recommend Eastwest for any tour or excursion you take in Iceland.
