Wonderful experience! - I’m still excited and spinning everything I learned today! I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to do this tour and to have met such fantastic people as Richard, Gabriel and Neudis. Perfect opportunity to learn the story we are not told and learn humility before a people and their constant struggle. If you want to support local initiatives and have your money poured directly into the communities, this is your tour!

Step into the past to see the future - This is an amazing tour. You have to go. So much information about history. Thank you to Gabriel for translating Spanish into English for us. And for Neudis for speaking Palenque and Spanish. :) A people with a proud culture who are trying to continue the education of new generations. Letting them know if their proud past. Sending a message: you can overcome your obstacles to stand tall. Be proud of where you came from and where you want to go in life. This tour deserves 100 stars. ⭐✨⭐⭐

Authentic tour of Palenque - Many thanks to Benkos Tours for this very special tour/day. Even if I expect many people to visit Palenque I was lucky enough to receive a « private » tour. I loved knowing this place from Neudis who has grown up there - he explains it all with passion and enthusiasm. Thank you for your authenticity, consideration and openness to all my questions. Amazing walking tour of Palenque! - I had a great time. My guide and my interpreter Gabriel made the experience unforgettable. On the drive to Palenque they shared some history of the nearby towns and I got to listen to local music. We visited a traditional house, visited a local boxing gym, a medicine man, a local artist and had delicious food. Make sure you wear sneakers and bring water because it’s very hot and you will be waking a lot and there’s basically no ac in any building. My favorite part was learning some Palenque words and hearing about the rich history from our very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!!

Authentic Awesome Experience! A must do tour when visiting Cartagena! - I must say …. This was one of the most interesting, informative and unique experiences I’ve ever had on a tour. Staring off with the friendly warm welcome from our interpreter for the day ( Gabriel) , he was engaging and shared small tidbits of knowledge on our ride into Palenge. The driver (Richard ) was awesome as well , navigating through a local taxi strike in Cartegena. He brought us from our hotel and back safely. Our tour guide Neudis a native of Palenge was knowledgeable and made the tour feel personal… as we learned about the people and culture, walking through the neighborhoods you felt welcomed and apart of the people. I must say the lunch was delicious! I recommend this tour to all … Specifically with @benkos_tour . Amazing Palenque!! - Amazing!!! Our guides and driver had wonderful, fun, welcoming energy. Our translator, Gabriel, was top notch!!! He should be the translator for all of their trips. Our guide, Neudis, was so knowledgeable and interactive. Lunch was great! It was very hot & sunny, so make sure you take an umbrella, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, spritzer, and fan. Awesome experience! Africa en Colombia!!!

A unique experience! - I had a wonderful experience! Neudis, the Guide, gave us a unique experience with his deep knowledge of his community and connecting with very interesting people. The one who really gave me the last of my five stars, who was so generous, kind and always made me feel taken care of, and also made it incredibly funny, was translator Gabriel. You gave everything to give us a wonderful experience, and it proved! We also travelled with the charming, chauffeur Richard, who spread such wonderful energy with his warmth. Thank you all so much!

Awesome Experience! - Great tour! Palenque is awesome to learn about. Our tour guide, Neudis, was very informative. And our translator, Gabriel, was spot on. This was a win experience even though it was extremely hot. Be sure to take water, umbrella, water spritzer, fan, and/or hat to stay cool.

Black is BEAUTIFUL - Most amazing tour ever! Sooo glad We did it. I left feeling extremely inspired to do more for the people of Palenque! I was reminded just how Beautiful Beinv black is. How resilient we are! We boxed, made music, spoke their language, ate good! And my favorite was learning and seeing the different braid styles! The list goes on! What an amazing experience! 5STARS!
