This meticulously designed, intimate, and versatile tour aims to expose you to the culture, history, and recommended spots in SF in the least possible time.
Following nearly ten years of conducting tours conceived by others, Paul, the proprietor/guide, launched SF Expeditions to provide his personal tours of the city that he calls home.
We understand that merely imparting dates and facts doesn’t make a tour great. A significant tour offers us the opportunity to authentically engage with the city’s essence and explore spontaneous events.
We are also prepared to tailor the itinerary to accommodate specific requests as much as possible (‘Full House’ site, perhaps?).
We offer free hotel pick-up/drop-offs that can be scheduled in advance.*
*Please communicate through text/email as soon as possible for same-day requests, as they may not be attainable due to existing tours.

Great tour!! - Tour was amazing! Paul went above and beyond, and you can tell he has true passion for the area. Born and raised in the area he not only gave us the normal info you might find on another tour, but tons of hidden gems and info you couldn't get from any one else. Book with Paul, you've have zero regrets!!!

Great experience - We are so glad that we took a trip with San Francisco Expeditions on our first day in San Francisco. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and Paul’s knowledge of the city really helped us to find out about places that we would never have discovered on our own. We then planned several trips during the week to places Paul had pointed out and recommended.
We were able to get so much more out of our holiday as a result. We highly recommend that visitors to San Francisco take a trip with San Francisco expeditions - ideally on their first day.

Exceptional Tour Guide - Paul was excellent! This tour covered A LOT and has some great photo ops, more than any other city tour I could find. He caps the group at five people so it really feels like a private tour. Paul made me fall in love with San Francisco!

Great day in San Francisco! - Wow! What a great day in San Francisco! Paul was an excellent tour guide. As a native of the city, Paul was filled with endless stories and anecdotes that you can only get from someone who has lived there. We had a beautiful day—sadly the only thing missing was a little bit of the iconic fog. I will also add that Paul took some excellent pictures for us, too! A really great experience to get to see the city in one day. The tour is just the right amount of time as it was comprehensive but left us with time to explore other areas of the wharf and ride the cable cars. Thanks again, Paul!!

Highlight of our trip - Awesome City Tour! - Wow what a fun time we had! So glad we chose Paul’s tour-it was like visiting a good friend who offered to give you a private tour of the city. Past and present of San Francisco - This was one of the best tours i have been on. If you come to SF, please ask for Paul. What a wealth of knowledge plus personality. Can’t say enough about the three hours it was great. Worth every penny.
I would have liked to have ended the tour with lunch that would have been over the top.

Must Book Tour - This was a fantastic tour. Paul is a lifetime San Francisco resident and it showed. Very informative, interesting and loved that he took us to places you would never see on a "big name" tour. Many great, personal stories about the city as well as historical times and events.

Excellent tour and history of San Francisco - Paul, our tour guide, is engaging and well versed in the history of San Francisco. Touring with him helped put the neighborhoods and sites of the area in perspective. We loved our tour and endorse it completely.

Amazing knowledge - Paul was awesome. He explained the history , some quirky fun facts and took us to so many places that o would never have got to on foot!!
