Fantastic tour for kids and their grownups! - Vail was an amazing tour guide! She was incredibly accommodating and flexible when my daughter got sick the night before the tour and ended up not being able to make it. In San Miguel I was looking for a tour that was not only kid friendly but would actually be a highlight for my 12 year olds. Vail taught middle school and knows exactly how to engage kids! I was so pleased with the info and activities she provided on the tour. They really kept my son's interest. In fact, when my daughter was feeling better later, my son proudly showed her and my husband around, playing tour guide to let them what they had missed! I have no doubt my son retained the info because Vail had made it to exciting to him! Anyone with kids looking for a San Miguel tour should book a tour with Vail!

Experience SMA with Vail - the best! - If you’re reading this, you’re lucky, you might get to spend time in beautiful San Miguel… with Vail!!! Vail was a teacher for many years and now does tours, so she has a wonderful way of speaking and presenting that makes things come alive. We did a foodie tour but learned so much general info, too! 10/10 recommend Vail has been in SMA for ~25 years so she has a wonderful depth of knowledge.

Tacos and tequila - We sis the tacos and tequila tour. We got a tour of the town with stops to taste some unique and delicious tacos and margaritas. Vail was an amazing tour guide. Her knowledge of the history of Mexico, the history of San Miguel de Allende and the history of the food was impressive. And she was a lot of fun to talk to. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous food tour of San Miguel - Our group of five enjoyed a customized taco and tequila tour of San Miguel accompanied by fun and interesting information about the town’s history and culture. Our guide, Vail, is originally from Minnesota and has lived in San Miguel for over 20 years. She has an excellent sense of how to make her tours both educational and fun. Her manner is so easy and welcoming that you feel like you’ve made a new best friend. She’s happy to answer any questions, whether it’s regarding the sights along the tour or about contemporary issues. We all enjoyed our time with her immensely. One of the best tours I’ve ever taken anywhere- and we travel a lot.

Excellent food tour with Vail - Vail was excellent. She is so knowledgeable and made our food tour the highlight of our trip! Everywhere we went was way beyond my expectations. I would go again - I mean I WILL go again - whenever there is the opportunity to visit SMA. The restaurants were beautiful and the food delicious. I cannot say enough about Vail - she was a joy!

Great tour for kids and adults! - Our tour with Vail was wonderful! She is very knowledgeable (and passionate) about Mexican history and culture. She has a background in teaching, and really knows how to keep kids engaged. My boys, ages 10 and 12, loved the scavenger hunts and fun quiz competitions. The adults in our group were equally engaged. We all had a great time, and really enjoyed our included ice cream break. Vail’s enthusiasm and passion are contagious. We loved our time with her so much that we signed up for her nighttime Spirits of San Miguel tour. My kids wanted to hear all about the legends and ghost stories of the area. Highly recommend both tours! Thank you for an unforgettable experience, Vail!
