Amongst the many archaeological sites available for public visitation, there are only two waterfront sites in Mexico. One is Tulum, situated in the ‘Mexican Caribbean’, and the other is located right here in Huatulco. Opened in October 2010, Huatulco provides a unique eco-archaeological experience, showcasing spectacular views and ancient structures that are over 2000 years old.
The tour spans three hours and educates visitors on the various cultural groups who once inhabited this region, while also offering the thrill of interacting with the magnificent jungle.

Exceptional Tour - We had an exceptional tour with Alberto. Alberto took time find out what our interests were and made sure he delivered. His knowledge of the site and the history were exceptional as was his sharing of information about the region and environment positive efforts being made in the region. On the site visit he had created models of a few things so he could better explain how they would have worked which made the explanations very understandable. We mentioned an interest in birds and Alberto took the time to find birds for us. We are looking forward to heading to Huatulco again and will be contacting Alberto to ensure we can take advantage of other services.

Amazing Tour & Guide - This tour of Copalita Eco Park was the perfect mix of amazing sight seeing and information about the local history and people. Alberto, the tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable about everything, very friendly, and speaks fluent English and Spanish.
