Highly suggested! A truly amazing tour - Rosbin, Marco, and Daniel from Simbiosis + Big Fingers Coffee Roasters were truly amazing! They went above and beyond. My husband Devon and I learned so much about the origins of coffee and chocolate, and walked us through how it is roasted. I am a barista myself and learned so much from their passion for coffee and chocolate. I can’t wait to bring this knowledge home with me to my coworkers! We are excited to take some home with us. Leave room in your suitcase! Then we were driven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes or so through Liberia and up to the rainforest. We stopped at a restaurant that served us rice, beans, plantains, and our choice of meat. As well as cas juice, it was delicious. The sloth tour was nearby. We learned about sloths, snakes, and natural foliage of Guanacaste. Diego was our guide and was able to spot 6 sloths, 2 of which were at eye level :) our driver was amazing as well, he pointed out mango trees and showed us where the river begins to flow towards the Caribbean Sea. We stopped in Liberia at a souvenir shop for a bathroom break and free coffee sample. Overall this tour gave us a larger appreciation for Costa Rican culture thanks to each of our guides! :) Pura vida!

The best day! - We had the best time on this tour! Rosbin was the best guide for us. He took us to eat a delicious corn cake to start, then we went to the chocolate and coffee plantation. It was a wonderful day and we weren’t even finished yet! We then went into the rainforest and saw sloths, frogs snakes, beautiful birds and cicadas! This was a last minute booking and we could not have had a better time. We had a fantastic lunch, talking with Rosbin. We got to visit the butterfly garden at the restaurant, what a surprise! Thank you Rosbin for such a memorable day, it was a pleasure!

A great mix of things! - My trip was in early Jan of 2024. My group's tour guide was Alberto. He did a fantastic job bringing us around to both the location of the chocolate and coffee tour as well as to the sanctuary. It wasn't a situation where they bring the sloths down and let you see them up close, you're seeing them closer to their natural state. But the sanctuary volunteer who brought us around was fantastic and would even offer to take our phones and try to capture a photo of the sloth closer up using his binoculars.

Great day out - Comfortable and picturesque drive into the rain forest. Tour guides gave great information on route about Costa Rican human and natural geography. (We had 2 guides, one who picked us up from the hotel and the other who took us from a meeting point with another family group into the rain forest) The sloths, frog and snake tour was decent and the family loved it. Don’t worry about the posts about the animals being planted. If they weren’t you’d be in the middle of the rain forest in the middle of the night and most likely seconds away from death. The lunch was excellent and in the same location as the coffee/ chocolate lesson. This was great fun and we learnt a lot of interesting facts and got to help make the delicious and natural tasting choc and coffee drinks to sample. Great tour and lovey hosts.
