Excellent tour - It was a small affair, only 3 of us and the guide. Carmelo was great and showed us around. We went to Bar Vitelli and had a small lunch before going to the church. I want to thank Carmelo for being very friendly and getting us back safe!!

A Godfather fan? What are you waiting for?? Book NOW!! - If you are a Godfather fan, this is the ultimate tour for you! You will be driven to the most iconic sets from the movie and get to literally sit in the same places as Al Pacino did when playing Michael. Every location was unique and awesome in their own right.
First of all, this tour lists the Castello degli Schiavi as optional. DO NOT MISS this part of the tour as you will miss the absolutely best part of the tour and miss seeing the site of the most iconic scenes. Additionally, you will miss out on meeting the Baron Platania, who has owned this site since it was built. He is so passionate about the movie and his Castle. He is so excited you may even have him taking your picture while sitting on the seat where Michael had his last breath. The Baron is truly special and if you ask nicely, he may have some insider knowledge about a future movie ;)
As with the Castle, being able to sit in the same place and even have a drink at the Bar Vitelli in Savoca is a very special moment, a selfie spot for sure! Also, make sure you go inside and look in the room just to the right. It has a bunch of additional movie memorabilia. Note, the walk up to San Nicolò (church where Michael and Apollonia married) is a bit steep so take your time and if visiting in the summer, bring water.
You can't go wrong with this tour and there is even more not mentioned in this review. Don't want to spoil the other locations and surprises!
Lastly, I have to give a special shout out to our tour guide who was awesome. He is very knowledgeable on all things Godfather as well as Italy and Sicily itself. He constantly checked on our comfort and offered so much great information. The sites are obviously great but the Baron and our tour guide are what made this trip super special!!

One tour you cannot (and must not) refuse! - Wow! For cinema or Italy/Sicily fans, this tour courtesy of Sicily Grand Tours is THE way to see the most iconic locations featured throughout "The Godfather" Trilogy by Francis Ford Coppola.
Whether leaving from Catania or Taormina, SGT drivers/guides Carmelo and Alessio will get you safely from your accommodation to each of the 3 iconic stops in walking in the steps of the Corleone dynasty in no time (cars well-AC'd and roomy for groups big or small).
The first stop (with a 25 Euro fee - and well worth it) takes you to Castello degli Schiavi a.k.a. Don Tommasino's villa. The 2nd stop takes you to Savoca, with its church and Bar Vitelli. The final stop (Forza d'Agro) features other iconic shots which I won't spoil.
With plenty of stops for behind-the-scenes stories, food/drink, photo ops, and likeminded company, do not sleep with the fishes (beware the oranges) and do not refuse this tour! A+++++++

Highly recommend/must do Godfather Tour! - I cannot say enough positive things about this tour! It was fabulous all the way around in every way but Alessio made it one of the best tours I’ve ever taken! He knew more about the Godfather movies and everything concerning them than I thought possible. He gave us so much background about the filming, locations, local extras who were in the movie etc. The locations we visited were breathtaking. I loved our spot we stopped for lunch! The food was perfect, simple yet completely delicious. I had the best and freshest caprese salad.
I was so happy we added the extra excursion to see the Castello Degli Schiavi which is the location where Apollonia blows up in the car and Michael Corleone dies in Godfather 3. The Count of still owns the house was there and was a gracious host.

Excellent tour with a professional and knowledgeable guide - We had an amazing day out on our Godfather tour . We had chosen to do a private tour and Allesio made sure we had a memorable day . His knowledge and passion for all things “ Godfather “ really made the day special .
Being on a private tour gave us the flexibility to stop for longer at the destinations and ask as many questions as we wanted to . We were also able to avoid the worst of the crowds , making the day a lot more relaxed .
I can’t recommend Alessio and this tour enough !

Amazing experience - It was an amazing experience visiting these locations. Would have appreciated more detailed information. Just having the transportation included was a plus. Would be complex to do using public transportation. Guide provided enough time to explore, shop and take pictures. Small groups are best. Adding wine tasting opportunity would make it an exception excursion. Can improve by adding more info and trivia.
